He’s wishing now he had counted to 10
Great show…filmed in Chicago…there’s 3 good places to get a good Italian beefs in Chitown, Al’s Beef, Mr. Beef and Buona Beef.
It’s from Greg Garcia who created My Name is Earl and Raising Hope so that’s already a positive. It’s got Burt and Virginia from Raising Hope (Garret Dillahunt and Martha Plimpton) in it too. First episode was promising.
@PhilCuisine
agreed, great show, i loved the ending, i hope there’s a season 2. jay’s beef isn’t bad either. growing up it was either mr beef or al’s beef, like a rivalry. we were on the mr beef side, lol. believe it or not i’ve never had a beef from al’s. my dad used to buy big tubs of beef already soaked in au jus, but i don’t remember the brand.
Been to all 3 and then some…I lived down the block from Al’s Beef when we lived on Taylor St. Little Italy, then we moved to Oak Park and Bouna Beef was 5 blocks away…also went to Mr. Beef for lunch when I worked downtown.
@PhilCuisine
i once got a beef from some random shitty food spot and when i said yes to the sandwich being dipped the idiot dipped the damn thing in a deep fryer, lol.
Just downloaded the Oliver app and I’m watching the movie Maverick again…hope this app is just as good as Kodi…
I hope we aren’t the only two watching this. sheesh
There’s more than 3. Johnnie’s, Lukes, Portillos, and countless other little hole in the walls all over the city.
Been to those too but Al’s, Mr. Beef and Bouna Beef are my top 3…I used to work for Kolovitz Movers right after high school and I’ve been to every suburbs and all over Chicagoland…heres the 1st. Portillo’s in Villa Park bromigo…
I could fill an entire thread with movies like this. Wu Tang Collection has some absolute classics, check out Invincible Armor if you haven’t seen it.
Mindhunter on netflix for the 10th time binge both seasons
I switched it off once I seen how bad the cgi was.
No doubt! I used to own a VHS copy of ‘Master Killer’ aka, ‘The 36th Chamber of Shaolin’. The fight scenes and training are surreal and will suck you into the TV.
I prefer Pop’s Weiners
Never heard of them…are they in Illinois?
