What ate through these stems and toppled my plants?

bleach / chlorine is very common for guys in hydro . Like anything too much could cause issues. Its even sold and recommended by big name nutrient suppliers in the form clear rez and ezcloner. After use when you adjust ph it stays stable.

I had a few huge bushes . 500$ a month for a few months of electric plus nutes the 100$ on seeds was the cheapest of the loss. I did takes clones so all isnt lost.
It happens . Next year I will have a chiller ready. Its all part of the game I figure. At least they all didnt die.
The heat waves should end in a few weeks. I run my lights at night and that seem to help allot. Yes H202 is great way to battle rot. If the plants small enough to wash , antibacterial soap helped me the most . Flush good after use.

I forget, are you in the USA? I have some new seeds coming hot off the plant…you need replacements?

Hey man thanks for the kind offer! I am in USA, but no worries I have a ton of seeds… Got a bad habit of buying them when I don’t need um…

Here’s a Beldia( moroccan) that had stem rot back in early July, maybe earlier. I wiped off the slime and sprayed with serenade once then, an once recently to be sure, due to lots of rain and 90% humidity for days. Safe to use on veggies till the day of harvest, and you can spray with lights on. It really works great. Glad a couple will make it. Is it still advancing, or has it slowed?

Hey bud, I had another plant topple (3/4) so I abandoned the grow. Not super happy about it but oh well. I’m taking a break from rockwool right now and sorting out what I might do next. Thanks for the tip though, if I see it again I’ll see I can serenade and get past it :+1:

Yeah I feel pretty stupid about it… Sweet Seeds actually sent me those as testers to grow out and journal… Never had a breeder do that before and here is how it turned out LOL…

Really not a big deal for me though, I grow for personal use and to make sure my friends have some if they want it. It’s frustrating for sure but I did at least learn something.

When the first plant was so badly affected that it fell over, I thought I must have accidentally dropped something on it. If I had handled the situation at that time things might be different. Instead I just propped it up and went about my business for a week without doing anything… Next time I see a stem like that I’ll know what’s up.

I would cut the dead slimy stem off and up a inch and try cloning it .
Honestly they’re going to probably die and that’s the only way to save them they will need the N from the good leaves. I know it’s not what you want to hear .
Shit happens sweet seeds will understand. I burnt down the house the first time I was given testers 20 years ago of jilly bean . I felt like a piece of crap.

They are dead and crispy? I don’t blame you for abandoning rockwool . This is really unfortunate, but a great time to practice cloning if they aren’t dead. Just a cardboard box and pro mix would work. Or perlite and vermiculite mix. A bag of soil etc. Lots of ways. We’ve all killed plants. It happens. Years ago I bought seeds from Vancouver Island seed company. Killed all of them. I figured I was meant to grow something else. Maybe you were too. The weed God hath spoken.

So they never got crispy, but they did basically collapse and all of the leaves fell limp like they were wilted badly.

I threw them out like they were a biohazard and cleaned all the space and equipment with bleach thoroughly.

Right now I’m going to continue to grow from seed mainly because I have a bunch of them and don’t currently have the space setup or the patience to learn cloning.

I do appreciate all the help and ideas, and hopefully my next crop gets to the finish line.
