What do overgrowers pack? šŸ”«

Some say every time you shoot Iā€™ve yet to clean and havenā€™t had a single issue she is dirty at this point definitely time for a proper break down and clean

Basically till they start jamming lol. If youā€™re shooting somthing like an sks using surplus ammo then you clean everytime you shoot because they have corrosive primers that will wreck your barrel

Yeah sheā€™s a tank for sure. Iā€™m excited to dig in and learn all about the platform. I like the sbr setup but thinking I may run a longer barrel on this rifle 223/556. The 300 blackout does better with the sbr configuration suppressed

I have a typical 3-gun setup: AR, combat shotgun and a sidearm. My AR is a MILSPEC PSA, my shotgun is a Winchester 1300 Defender and sidearm is a Glock 21 (.45 ACP). You canā€™t go wrong with an AR and a Glock. Shotguns make good primary weapons. Theyā€™re powerful (devastating, actually), inexpensive, common and often overlooked by anti-gunners. Slugs can turn your shotgun into a high-powered rifle. If I could have only one firearm, it would be a 12 gauge.

I agree totally, grew up doing alot of skeet shooting and love shotguns. I like glocks quite a bit that said recently got to shoot a buddies tisas 1911 45 acp and 9mm and was beyond impressed with them at 450.00 for the 9mm put it at the top of my list for the next buy

Donā€™t misunderstand, the 1911 (especially one for that price!) is a good pistol, but far from ideal as a fighting gun. They can drive tacks on the range, but the manual of arms is complicated. In combat, you want to keep it simple. If youā€™ve trained on the 1911 and are comfortable with it, then use it.
My AR is a civilian clone of our M4 service rifles, and thatā€™s all I need. YMMV, but that platform has been standard issue for half a century for a good reason. Believe it or not, Iā€™ve deployed to Iraq 3 times (as an infantryman) and could count on one hand how many M4/M16s Iā€™ve seen malfunction. Iā€™ve actually seen more AKs (the rifle everyone swears is reliable under any conditions) malfunction, one time it was an AK right out of the crate.

Itā€™s a good model. If you can get one, I highly recommend it. Iā€™m a Glock guy myself, but the 92 is also a good pistol. Plus, you canā€™t go wrong with 9mm; itā€™s the most common pistol caliber in the world, and plenty effective.

300 Blackout is a nice caliber. Barrel length doesnā€™t affect it as much as other calibers, so an SBR configuration is better.

About seven inches and big around as Dennisonā€™s can of chili ā€œfamily canā€

More than you might think. Iā€™ve put 1000 rounds through an M4 in a single day, and had no issues. I also kept the bolt and bolt carrier lubed, even coating it in oil and wiping off the excess between firing iterations.

Thinking about going 300 blackout in sbr configuration after doing some research, quieter and more efficient from what Iā€™ve seen.

It is. The 300 Blackout is our answer to the 7.62x39 (AK, SKS, RPD, etc.). For best performance, I recommend 110 or 120-grain projectiles. Muzzle velocity is about 2200 FPS, generating about 1400 Foot-Pounds of Energy (FPE). For comparison, 5.56 generates around 1200 FPE, 7.62x51 NATO (*similar to .308) generates some 2500 FPE, .50 caliber (12.7x99mm) generates about 10,000.

*Both cartridges have the same external dimensions, but .308 are loaded hotter. Do not, repeat, do NOT put .308 through a firearm marked specifically for 7.62x51. 5.56 and .223 are similar, but the reverse is true. You can fire .223 through a firearm marked for 5.56 (or .223 Wylde), but not the reverse, as 5.56 are loaded hotter than .223.

A lot of states are doing that. Constitutional carry is how it should be. It has always been like that in Georgia, actually. For as long as I can remember, youā€™ve always been allowed to carry a loaded gun in your vehicle.
The M1 Carbine is a really nice caliber for women, honestly. It has low recoil, high capacity (relatively with standard 15-shot mags; 20-30 mags are available), and is more powerful than most people think. If the .30 carbine with soft or hollow points can be used to hunt deer (very effectively, according to reports from the field), itā€™ll work just fine or self defense, especially when fired as accurately as your wife does.

Yes, the .40 cal is a shortened 10mm. The FBI developed it in response to a big firefight (Miami/Dade Shootout). They were looking for a larger caliber that could fit into a 9mm frame. No offense, but there is not a huge difference between the performance of the 3 common pistol calibers (9mm, .40, .45). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nycYxb-zNwc

my idea of an SBR would be a 16" barrelled , suppressed .338 federal

When and if the shit hits the fan in north america , be it a natural disaster or collapse of society under the WEFā€¦ my choices would be a pair of flawlessly tuned 1911 commanders in 45acp with no frills, SBRā€™s in 338 fed and 50 BF. A Main battle rifle in .308 and a 7mm rem mag for anything beyond. I might also consider a suppressed pistol caliber SBR with a 7 or 10" barrel. And a Glock .40 suppressed as well but I am a 1911 guy and have an affinity for the commander in .45 acp with all standard controls except for an extended mag release.
Novak night sights of course.
that would be wish list anyways.

If you get about half a chance, trade up for a .357 Magnum. You can fire .38 through it and .357 is a very powerful handgun round. If, for whatever reason, you cannot get a .357, the train hard with your .38.

I had heard that recently actually, same person I was talking to said itā€™s caused a lot of PDā€™s to switch to 9mm. No point in taking the reduced mag capacity if thereā€™s no extra stahpin powah to justify it. Certainly makes sense to me
