Man, you’re the first and only person I’ve met that knows what that engine was like. When I was 16 my sister bought a 71 Challenger 440/6 pack/factory high rise manifold, 3 speed slap stick automatic. It was a yellow w/black stripes and a black convertible, with power windows. She used to let me drive it a lot and it’s a wonder I didn’t kill myself in that car. I don’t where my dad found that car.
Her boyfriend wrecked it. Turns out there were only 500 of that model built.

Thanks, Stickyjones… Those were just a couple pics I found on the computer, got plenty from all the years of making native american jewelry, but just not on computer. We had a mobile jewelry shop that we’d set up at pow wows, rodeos, mud bogs, tractor pulls, flea markets, county fairs, etc. all over the country. It was fun and an interesting lifestyle, with our 3 sons being born in different places in our work/travels and growing MJ lol… I never had anyone ask if I could carve something and not be able to satisfy them.

I am an award-winning audio engineer and producer, currently semi-retired except for key projects that interest me mostly. I have worked with many bands and musicians through the years including Parliament-Funkadelic, Los Lobos, The Pixies, Blackfoot, Aretha Franklin and many others.
That’s badass! I actually just started, well helped finance a record label with a few of my cousins.
Interesting. I may have met you at an AES or NAMM. I retired last year as North American Sales manager for some Pro audio brands.
quite possibly - I have been haunting those for years - it’s a small world it seems. The audio scene has changed so much since I first got involved - I have seen the transition from multi-track recording to digital, and went from having to lug snakes and heavy wires all over the place to mixing wirelessly The music/audio business itself has changed so much also. I went from working with bands at clubs and festivals to mostly working on video game and movie soundtracks. There is so much available to the home hobbyist now that it is very exciting, also. It is an interesting field to be involved in.
It was a fun ride. I was on the road selling crazy high-end hifi gear for the first 30 years & then jumped to the Pro division a decade ago. A shitload of travel & shows & studios but it was a unique career. I’ve spent 7 months of my life in Vegas, 4 months in New York, 3 months in LA, a month in Paris etc etc without ever having lived in any of them – just 2 or 3 days at a time.
I will say that the Pro side was certainly a hell of a lot more fun . . .
Edit . . . here’s my last NAMM badge with my nickname . . .
