What do you do in Life?

Ever hear of Clive Wearing? Conductor and musician who suffered a viral infection, or something along those lines. He has a memory span of seven seconds, give or take. He still plays.

Enjoy that bit of existential terror wrapped in saccharine heart strings.

I would pay a cat to make me bubble hash.

I have not but that’s precisely the kind of unusual thing that’s in the book.

Pretty interesting what he’s kept. What matters, matters. I guess.

He loves kiwis, but they have to be peeled and quartered.

He is a damn cat after all.

There’s one where a lady loses the ability to recognize vegetables I think.

Cats: very demanding and kiwi oriented. Probably because they’re hairy like a mouse.

No “reason” bro, you just won the lottery with the most ridiculously long odds. As a result you are 100% unique and never ever to be repeated for as long as humanity inhabits this mortal realm. If any one of a hundred million things had been even the most tiny bit different, if circumstance had spun the wheel just a single extra peg, none of us would exist. How awesome is that?

Perhaps “drip your effluence down my throat” would be grosser.

This thread took a left turn, quick. What am I doing with life? Sharing it with a very small number of people, and simply, but doing so well. Taking care of a great woman and a very-real cat. Helping my father where I can. Learning about growing and doing my best to put that into practice, and parlay that into care for my family. Hoping to expand that, even if it is via corresponding with folks I’ll never know the names or faces of.
Not a position I’m unfamiliar with, that.
In the words of Alexander Supertramp (Christopher McCandless,) “Happiness is only real when shared.”
