What's HomegrownVABudz up too?

Yeah, that little freak of a ODD. I’m really starting to wonder myself, lol.

Gambling is fun, but I rarely do it aswell. I see it as more of a pay-to-play kinda thing. I’m paying to have fun. Usually I’ll be up, pocket my original “investment” and play till I lose the rest, or feel comfortable with a nice win. Of just say eff it and lose it all.

I usually loose it all so I go in expecting to walk out with nothing😜 Winning is a bonus

You might be holding onto the new “freakshow/abc/berry freak” in that cup, which you get to name & breed with. Might be :fire: af, never know :+1:

@Ottafish Im thinking about the game plan for the sugar belts. I think I might give them another week in the cups, transplant into 3 gallons, wait another week and then flip to flower. Sound good?

Yeah I’d get them in the bigger pots asap because you want to give those roots a chance to grow. You’ll get more explosive growth! Maybe hit them with a little barley, kelp, aloe tea to get those roots a boost after transplant :rocket:

I have kelp available lol. Don’t keep much else around. They’re gonna get some recharge here soon.

I mostly wanna remove the males so I can lower my count, but I’m trying to plan a vacation and don’t want them hanging around too long.

I’m not looking for a big yield, just one that I’d like enough to reveg and work more. I’m a keeper hunter :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::joy:

Oh perfect well there ya go then. My buddy that runs a recreational facility pretty much grows his plants just big enough to get a clone and then flips them a week later. You’ll get a plenty big plant that way for sure. He grows two tier on racks with 4’ ceilings and the plants are basically touching the lights when they finish. He gets pretty decent yields. There’s definitely a million ways to skin a cat, and they all work. I’m excited to see what you end up with. I hope you’re impressed with what you find. I know there’s some really good plants to be found in those genetics🤞🏻

Anything you’re looking for from the specifically? Any particular smells to look out for?

Well if you found or anyone found something absolutely outstanding I’d love to get a cut to breed with. But I gave them to you so they are yours to do as you wish. I just hope you like the finished product. SB has a Blueberry/floral smell from what I’ve seen so far. I’m hoping some plants pick up more yield/terps from the Rainbow Belts and have the frost of the Sugar Cane. I also hope the buds turn purple if temps are dropped at the end of flower. Both parents were absolutely killer. Every time anyone saw the Sugar Cane that’s the buds they wanted over anything else. That shit is crazy!

I don’t intentionally drop my temps for colors, but I still get some purple sometimes, so I’ll keep an eye out for that.

I’ll keep you updated, if you see one you like as they flower, lemme know lol

Got me excited over here

I’d like to make teas but I need a cheap part & supplies list. Like what exactly do we need. Because everyone I talk to has a different idea of whats needed.

Definitely buy some barley to sprout that stuff is magic, then I’d get some aloe. I’m not sure what your climate is but you can buy some plants, buy the powdered aloe, or go to a Mexican store and you can buy a big frawn for cheap, then I like to add BioAG fulpower fulvic acid, and lastly ph it to 6-7 with agisil silica. This is my favorite tea.
Besides this one I really like worm casting for teas with some kelp or black soldier fly Insect frass. Those make really good teas.
Alfalfa is really good too especially for veg as it has natural growth hormones. I like to add a little mollasses to most of the teas. It gives the biology something else to feed on in the tea and in the soil. But I don’t use it for the first recipe I listed.

There’s a grow shop in VA Beach that brews tea every week and gives it out by the gallon to folks. I wanna stop by there one day

Right on, good list & how about the equipment needed? I gotta keep it cheap af. I know a 5-gallon bucket but what else do we need off ScAmazon.

@HomegrownVABudz yea it’d be cool to have a local supplier

Fish tank pump and a air stone is what I use when I use my Dr earth to make teas

Buy a pack of the seed sprouting lids that go on top of a ball canning jar to sprout your seeds. Then you can get vegetable screen/cloth material produce bags if you want something to keep the solids in. But honestly I just put everything into my bed after anyhow. That first tea you don’t need to bubble or anything. You just want to let the goodies leach out of the barley sprouts for a few hours. I use the cloth produce bags and massage the crap out of the barley and aloe mixed together in the bucket of water and try to wring every last drop out of the seed meal and aloe.
To make aerated compost teas you’ll need an air pump and an air stone. The bigger the better. If you want to get deeper into it you can build an airlift system. Steve Soloman sells a diagram on how to build one. Those are the best but air stones work fine for a 5 gallon bucket.
Honestly to keep it cheap I’d just stick with the seed sprouted teas SST’s. You can alternates between corn and barley or do both at the same time. But for doing it cheap you don’t even need an air stone. Just steep the materials and get the goodies out. I’d start with the first recipe. You could get some castings, frass, alfalfa, kelp, and they don’t have to be aerated. They’ll work great as teas just by agitating by hand and letting those goodies soak.

I have some corn I sprouted for SST and I still haven’t used it :joy:

You want to use it when the root is 1/4 to1/2 on the corn and 1/4 for the barley approximately. Get those goodies the seed has in it to grow a plant and steal them for your cannabis😁

I got a box of twenty20 seed catalogs getting sent to me. I’ll be slinging some seed (catalogs) soon :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
