Haha have you had time to play around with your new press?

I completely forgot to post it on here but yeah, we ran a bunch of dry sift with some material a buddy came across. Tried pressing the dry sift, but ended up with a blowout. Still plenty to collect and smoke.

We also pressed a few grams of flower each, and it was kinda a waste because it all stuck to the parchment paper. I’m working on getting the good stuff lol

Nice! I havent pressed before so I couldn’t give any pointers but once youre out of the learning curve, youll be off to the races!

I even got to use the shaker box I got from @Indicana_Jones which was dope :sunglasses:

I press my dry sift a few times a year. Not sure what bags you are using but it doesn’t take a lot of pressure to press it. I usually press it at 175-185 degrees for around a minute and a half. No need to smash the shit out of it

Yeah we had no clue, but we were determined to try :rofl:

Lol it’s pretty easy. I figured it out with a few practice tries. Bud needs to be smashed a lot harder

There will be lots of attempts and learning here soon lol. I have it nailed down in no time.

Yeehawwwww. :joy:. I’m glad it worked out for you. That thing totally looks like something you would find in an oddities shop and should be coin operated.

That’s a fun project. I’ve been interested in the making of hash for a while now. Haven’t jumped in yet. I’m hoping my next grow will provide enough I can play with it.

Everytime I went to turn on the vibration, I had to warn everyone in the house  that fucker is loud and powerful

It was a fun thing to try. I’m not sure if I’ll be dry sifting again anytime soon. That was a lot of work

It was a very convenient option when my buddy came by with all that larf/over dried flower.

That’s cool. I haven’t even found a process I want to use yet. Was thinking about getting bubble bags and trying the ice and water method.

Was it really time consuming or just a physically hard process?

The way I make mine is super easy and turns out pretty nice. I just lightly rub all my trimmings over a 150 micron screen onto parchment paper. Do this in a cold environment the colder the better. I do it outside in my shed on a really cold day. Next I just put it in a 37 micron bag and press it

Mostly just time consuming. Took a couple hours to sift everything lol.

That’s pretty much what we did, just wasn’t that cold. I wasn’t expecting to be doing it, so I definitely wasn’t prepared for it

:joy: yeah I’m never prepared for anything. 2 young boys and my own business consumes most of my time. I’ve found that if air temp and materials are as cold as possible everything goes much quicker
