In a car, probably something lame like 85 or something just cruising down the interstate. Not a car/motor guy.

Running, my best was a half marathon where I passed the 10 mile mark at about 59:30 so at the 60 min mark I was probably 10.1 miles total.

Cycling, I’ve never really raced but I’ve probably done 16.X miles in an hour just riding for exercise.

130 in 90 300Z twin turbo
135 in SAAB 900turbo

Passenger in Mustang racecar that hit 165 at Watkins Glen

The scariest was 110 in a Geo Prism with a bad wheel bearing.

In another life, I guess the fastest thing I was ever in control of was probably a Lear 45. Didn’t get a lot of logged flight time in it, and I was damn lucky to get what I did.

I did 100 in a Geo Metro. Once.

I do not recommend this.

It was one of the sketchiest things I’ve ever done in a vehicle. (That car normally wouldn’t go over 80 if you drove it off a cliff.)

Teenage shenanigans, lol

Lol this poor man asked more than once for distance traveled in an hour relative to speed and y’all keep replying with speeds that are unsustainable on land for 60 mins

It’s a fun read for sure! Just think it’s funny you posted a reminder and the topic still went left. Such is the internet, I suppose :v:t2:

100 mph is absolutely sustainable on land try a road out in Nevada or Cali in the desert going to palm springs if the machine is in good shape be it a truck car or motorcycle that speed and distance is absolutely sustainable.

Yeppers. Just so happen that I did eventually crash that car some years later. Rim sheared apart and the tire went rolling down the freeway. Probably cracked the chromed pot metal from overheating at some point. Drove underneath a guard rail. Grip was so tight that the steering wheel and shifter ended up bent. That hurt a bit. Karma.
