I always appricate your humor, i was not trying to be a dick or anything.
I knew you would have something to make me laugh a little.
Nobody was more shocked than I
Yeah ive been digging around for the yunnan i have. I really enjoyed the southeast Manipur/Balochistan I grew last summer it had the sweet and sour SE asian thing going on. It was my favorite smoke for last year with fat round afgahni nugs and finished early. The males were shorter then the females even.
I crossed a 14 week sativa with an 8 week indica and ended up 10-12 weeks
I will go through your thread and check more of it out man. You really have a thing going on about that pure affie. Loved me some pure LA kush and those colors and that smell.
I definitely would like to talk to you more after i read your full thread and see your progress.
I have more VB seeds i can use for these. For sure!
Thank you for offering up your years of hard work. That’s not so easy for others to do. My self included.
I believe you.
How dwarf are we talking about?
I did it twice actually and surprisingly they were both winners.
They veg at a decent rate but basically cease upward growth once put under 12/12 for a week or so, at the same time making decent sized, chunky colas. A stretchless plant. Is that a word? Check out the thread @Foreigner , it’s lay out over there.
That’s pretty cool man far out.
It wasn’t something I was looking for, it’s just what one of the two lines I was working wanted to be, so rather then fight it I decided to select for it.
Well it’s a cool cultivar either way.
Something I like to do is start hard sativas with no intention of growing the females, find a male, and pollinate a bunch of indicas to make a bunch of hybrids.
Do you think it would hybridize well or is it just a weirdo?
Snowhigh says he breeds for structure of female and effects of the males. I don’t have enough experience smoking male plants to know either way but I thought it was interesting because it goes against what most people say.
All the females exhibit the dwarf trait and the male I use to go to f3 was a short fella so I think it’s fairly homozygous and would pass some of these gene packets on in a cross to far sativa. That’s one of the main reason I’m working with it. To use it as an outcross. I see it as more of an ingredient than a main course. I put some of the dwarf male onto a few very stretchy Malawi Gold Crosses, so we’ll see how far it knocks back the flowering stretch of the progeny.
Yes my curiousity falls on the same line as yours. I’d like to see how the potentially stretchy crosses turn out.
A very interesting thought.
My Vietnamese x Columbian x Afghani from Bodhi finishes up in 9-10 weeks. It might shorten your time, while staying Vietnamese dom.
When my F3’s finish I can send you some, if you want. Might be all males this cycle though.
Bodhi crossed his Vietnamese to his Dread Bread to make this cross.
Edit: if I get all males, I might be able to shoot you some Vietnamese dominant pollen
If you have @lefthandseeds Black Lebanese, that finishes pretty fast in my limited experience. Not sure it is indica though.
Hey @Herbie long time no see brother man. I ran lefty’s black leb last summer. Big buds. Big buds…
I think read your thread already and saw that you had alot of males. Did you collect any pollen
Or were you waiting for your females?
Nothing happens fast in the plant world.
However, if you Pic a fast strain
Then clone, and clone the clones
Using clones as mothers you will end up
With the hairiest clones in veg you have ever seen.
When you flower those they will be even quicker.
I had a C99 by shoeless that was done
In 37 days.
Pics to prove it to lol on Opengrow.
But it works the same for any strain
The finish may differ accordingly due
To overall flower time.
