Whisker Biscuit by Blackbird Preservations

Whisker Biscuit was made using the Gorilla Biscuit Black cut made by Seeds of Compassion and found by @FourWiseEyes as the mom, and a selection of Vietnamese Black originally from Fet, worked by Snowhigh and chosen by me out of the seed increase from Snow’s work.

The F1 showed plenty of variation, with specimens from both ends of the spectrum popping up along with outstanding mixes of the two. One of the predominant traits throughout the line…RESIN! The Biscuit mom was no slouch in passing on her propensity for a thick blanket of trichomes coating the flowers. Mostly on the sandy/tacky side with a few getting more gooey but not greasy. Large batch washes will be done this fall but the test runs were solid. Even the heavy Vietnamese leaning gals were dripping with glands, the airy flower sets showing them off in all their glory. Perhaps a charas quality type, easy to extract the glands by hand.

At F2 some mutants started to show, mostly as seedlings that grow out of their weirdness as they grow into juveniles. Fine plants as they finish, but these have been excluded from future filial generations to avoid an uneven start for growers looking to fill a room from seed. Previous F3 testing shows the line starting to homogenize as we will be working the line in both directions to each P1. An open pollination or “full spectrum” will be offered up which will include selections of males and females that best represent both the parents as well as mixes of the two. I’ll also be offering up a “Biscuit Side” group of selections that will get you over the finish line in a reasonable time but with plenty of pizzazz from the Vietnamese father.

I’ll post up some pics of past runs as well as the current selections. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thanks for checking out the new gear. JT

Astro Zombie is the Whisker Biscuits stepsister, sharing the same Vietnamese Father with a juicy fruit selection of Hmong Thai as the mother. The Hmong takes some of the edge off the Vietnamese Black while adding tropical fruit to the flavor profile.

Beautiful bud!

I’m looking forward to a few in the upcoming preservations with the Hmong Thai topping the list!

Here is my own smoke report from one of the tester grows. Great selection, it had the slant of old school Haze with a more modern twist

Thanks. Been sitting thru these for a couple years now, absolutely love this line. Her stepsister, the Blueberry x Vietnamese Black is pretty wicked as well.

Any anxiousness raciness in there?

One of the WB’s stepsisters, the Astro Zombie (Hmong Thai x Vietnamese Black)

This gal was found in some beans from a Peach mom which I hadn’t seen in exploring the F2. What a treat to find one of her daughters that so far has the looks and smells of momma. Eager to see where she ends up. JT

@TopShelfTrees1 not that I would say, but a more novice smoker may disagree. There are some heavy Viet leaners that may be a bit too much for some but I wouldn’t call them overly edgy. The Blueberry x Vietnamese Black are a little more intense as are the Astro Zombie. I’m looking at some other SE Asian and Central/South American candidates for that extra boost.

Awesome! I just acquired this stupid vicious anxiety a few years back and have had to alter my smoking habits . I’ve really been wanting to dive into some of this type of stuff, but know I have to be cautious with landrace genetics

@TopShelfTrees1 there’s a ton of great stuff you could dig into I think…that Lemon Thai is mellow in the paranoia department as is the Hmong Thai; more euphoric, focused etc and not quite peeping out your windows every time you “hear something” haha. Great for daytime tokes and getting stuff done :+1:t2:
