White powdery mildew, what do I do?

I love that there are inside jokes only on this site…boron, spores…eh that’s about it. The BORSPOR duo.

It always coincides with packing plants in too close while also getting lenient on airflow under canopy/defoliation. Handful of times over last decade.

I’ve seen it in outdoor grows…how did it attack plants from seed…in a cornfield far away from other weed plants or zinnias? Is it spores?

How did it get on my pumpkins this summer when no one within 20 feet of me is growing any cucurbits, Joe?

ok, so if I pack my plants in, turn off the air flow over night and let the humidity rise to 90% for 40 days I should get mildew?

That’s a fantastic way to get it. If I did that, I’d fully expect it to pop up. Maybe your spore load is smaller than mine, maybe you’re making stuff up on the internet. IDK.

You mentioned you did it and got Botrytis. Which means Botrytis spores are everywhere.

It stands to reason that powdery mildew, another pathogenic fungus that spreads by spores, is also present in the air most of the year in most places.

Then again, that is contingent on me believing you actually sacrificed a crop in a bid to prove a point on an internet forum about mold spores…which I don’t, to be honest. Remember, you previously claimed you had eradicated Botrytis from your grow as well…so I don’t know about the things you claim either.

Is this enough jungle for you? I never trim leaves off.

Botrytis enhance quadrant 3G

That’s not a high RH stagnant room with no ventilation or air movement though, is it?

Zero water drops on leaves…“press X to doubt”

I thought you said you had cured Botrytis with your “protocols”…how’d you get it again?

Again…email a mycologist and see what they think about your “6 meter PM spore” theory.

ok so you are in denial I would even set that experiment up? I actually listened to that excellent shaping fire podcast, where he explained where I had gone wrong with the initial botrytis test. So I did it again with the protocol he had outlined. The results were interesting to say the least! The grey mold started on the newest introduction to the grow, the harlequin plant. Then it bloomed and spored onto the big bud plants surrounding it. The botrytis never made it as far as the meat breath buds though, so it takes a while to spread from it’s initial spot. hah hah I’ll be cleaning that one up with some disinfectant.

I think you should introduce spider mites into your grow and develop a protocol for that.

I trained my spider mites to eat powdery mildew.
Problem solved.

How about russet mites or stem nematodes? Try drowning those lol.

Already done, I call it protocol 0.

I mean the man loves experiments so let’s just suggest a few

Yes, strip every inch of your current grow back to a nub and call it a success.

So you guys are just here to waste time @Foreigner and @vernal? Or you have something to contribute? Like a question to ask me. I’m full of excellent knowledge!

What I have to contribute is that beyond sulphur dunks for young plants your claims are dubious at best.

Oh yeah and waste time I like to do that.

even though so many people came in to back up the claims I made, right?
