Thanks bud. My entire Blue Kush run was done in 0.8 gallon pots as was.my Blue Moon Rocks run. I like to use this one as an example. Just look at this male in that tine 0.8 gallon pot. The lower growth looks a bit bad bit that just because it was in a 2x2 tent and completely blocked out any light below the top of the canopy, lol.

Only way I’d do small pots (actually any size these days) is using root pruning systems. Just tried MicroKote.

I use a lot of Rootmaker products too like RootBuilder for my 16’ avocado or citrus trees.

I’m currently on my first run with 1 gallon pots I knew watering frequently would be something I was gonna have to do. I decided to go with plastic pots because of the water retention. I have good drainage and excellent results so far. I’m using a coco~20% and 80% ocean forest soil. I’m watering everyday 1 time about 17 to 20 oz of water and the soil is the perfect moisture level in my tent. I’m gonna try to do more plants but smaller plants this run to see how it changes quality and weight. I haven’t seen issues at all using 1 gal so far tho it’s been wonderful. There is one plant I have that’s filling out very nicely amd I may want to put her in a bigger pot just because I don’t want to hinder any growth.

It’s an issue of maintenance. You can get more bud going with larger but fewer plants in larger pots.

Was really cool to come back and reas through this thread. It took me longer than expected, but i finally started dabbling around with my coco journey. I feel like i got really lucky with these plants, but i never transplanted them out of 1 gallon pots. They’ve only been getting watered 1-2 times daily for the duration and have been thriving.
