NL2 Phenos I played with last year/this year.
I initially kept two females and 4 males. I harvested a bunch of pollen from the males and then narrowed the selection down to just one to keep. One female had this intense catpiss spearmint funk that fades a few weeks after harvest. The other was more like an OG type flavor. I narrowed my female selection down to the OG type but I’m running the cat piss one outside.
I did some test pollination using the 4 males pollen on a couple of cultivars I had in flower previously.

Good times ahead. The NL2 male seems pretty darned stable. The whole line seems uniform in growth characteristics. Very robust, a seemingly perfect match with the Taos OG cultivar I cherish so much.
Next up, hunting/testing some progeny: Taos x NL2, 91 Chemdog x 79 Skunk #1, and Purest Indica!

Damn y’all I came to read about a classic and it’s sounding like Reddit up in here. Just want to say that I admire kind people with stories of what their experiences have taught them. I don’t give a frosty green fuck if you’ve been doing this longer than anyone on earth. I know I’m months late in saying this, but I was disappointed to see how members were talking to each other. Sounds like they sorted it out tho, eventually.
I have some NL autos that I’m hoping to run this spring. Anyone ever tried an auto version of Northern Lights?
