¹For consistency in this topic let’s define IBL as a single (non hybrid) strain, unmixed, other than F, for at least 7 generations that grows out consistently in size, time, terp, and smoke profile. I think this is what we mean by Breeds True. Further, let’s allow no more than 4 divergent phenotypes.

Happy to discuss other definitions.

Starfighter lol

Very good IBL, super frosted, dense buds, great smells all around

Lol? This 20 characters thing discourages meritorious concisness.

Well I don’t really know alot about most breeder strains as I get sidetracked on grows and jump around from this to that with user crosses and some tests and things and that’s the only one I could think of of the top of my head that I’ve seen grown…

plus just getting my smoke on with 818 Headband and wanted to contribute somehow to what I’m sure will be a great thread before I couldn’t think right to do it haha

Can of worms, I am sure - but, are there non BG C99s that are ALSO IBL?

I have some Mosca C99s (F6) from @Jetdro. Will they be similar to something with Brothers Grimm on the label?

Tom Hill Haze is an IBL

Wanna say there’s X18 Pakistani IBL by him also floating around.

Sannie has Herijuana IBL.

Mr Nice offered a Mango Haze IBL, not sure if the current Mango Haze he offers is the same one.

Flying Dutchman Original Haze was an IBL, not available anymore though.

Rezdog had the Sour Diesel IBL.

Let me know when you’re done, and I’ll add them. Or you can edit above.

Haha sorry I think that’s it, but I’ll let you know if I think of more!

This is an awesome idea, but I have a suggestion to expand on it. I think there should be a list of “true breeding” strains and what attributes they pass on to their offspring!

Agreed. Can you create a Wiki?

I believe so. Im trust level 3.

Put it in the breeder lab (same as this.)

Landraces may be deeply inbred but still result in alot of variation due to large open pollination methods. Some like Hindu Kush, mazar ,etc are more stable .
In terms of non landraces I can think of a few old deeply inbred lines.
Blueberry
PNW hashplant
Big sur holy weed ( wish I had this )
Salmon Creek big bud ( also wish I had this )
Mendacino purps

Romulan
But wouldn’t most strains from 20 years ago be IBL by now?

If somebody has been doing the work to continue the strain in it’s original form breeding for the known desired traits.

I think BX strains should be removed from the list. BX is not “inbred”, and for outcrossing, is not stable like an IBL.
