Will trade seeds for random acts of kindness to strangers

I am curious about your heirloom Afghani. Is that from a seedbank? Or some other source?

I was riding my longboard down the sidewalk and stopped about ten yards behind an old man stooped over and walking with a cane. I didn’t want to scare him with the noise so I got off and walked around him.

I asked him how he was doing and he told me not so well. He got into an argument with his wife at Walmart and she left him there in the parking lot and drove away. He was already about a half mile from Walmart and he couldn’t walk too well. I gave him some bus fare and told him to try not to fight when he gets back home.

My random act of kindness was for my mother in law, yes I said it mother in law. She is in her late 70s and my wife and I have had to take her car away as she is hazardous to the neighborhood and all pedestrians. I take time every month to take her to lunch and a movie as well as I sit down with her to let her write checks to pay her bills and just to listen. My wife takes her to all the stores on the weekends and its the least I can do for her. Her husband had passed a long time back. Our daughter has kind of put her life on hold to live with her so she can still have her independence and the dignity that she is owed. When my mother was in the same boat, we moved her in our home to do the same. As my siblings wanted to put her in a home. They had no time for the person that made many sacrifices to raise them and did without and this is the thanks she got from them. :sunglasses::peace_symbol:

I think when the time comes I will be the caregiver and my ungrateful siblings will continue just living their lives.

Good on you.

The caregiver is a real commitment. My wife and I got a call to check on her mother. We went to check and six years later we left. Her two sisters couldn’t be there

I don’t even talk to my siblings anymore because of the way they treated our mother. The biggest joke of all was my grandmother left all their real estate holdings to my mother and she had never moved them into her name, but being the fair person I am I paid an attorney 3K to change all the properties in to our names combined. Which in turn translated into over 1M to be split as my grandmother had started in her will if my mom had passed before her it was to be split amongst the siblings. I never got a thank you from either one of them or my 3K back either, so much for honoring my grandparents wishes when I was the only one that had a copy of her will. I did what was right so much for siblings. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::triumph:

I could go on forever but I won’t. Worst part: my parents have grandchildren they don’t know because my siblings are douches.

I did what was right and can be clear of mind. My karma is right. Screw them for their evil ways!

Do you have a thread for these?

I have some pollen from a cross I made with a late 90’s Afghani known as Alien Technology It was a clone crossed to an Afgoo male. My buddy gifted it to me in a 5gal home depot bucket. She looked rough and clearly served her purpose as a mother plant finally abandoned. Pruned down to a couple twiggy branches. After seeing her in flower and comparing to actual documentation according to OG Rascal, yeah she was the real deal. Far to potent for me, gave me really bad anxiety which just reaffirmed my justification for crossing her. I was young and inexperienced but had I known then what I know now, I would have kept her pure. Always, the heirloom Afghani is always a high sought after one for me. Thanks for the opportunity.

I’ve been snowblowing my neighbors driveway and sidewalk for the last 15 yrs and cutting her grass and any minor maintenance she needs. I hold doors for women everywhere I go, daily I stop by my parents house and mabey I’ll wash the few dishes or take out the trash, carry the laundry hamper up and down the basement stairs, maintenance on the home, ect…

Karma is what brings balance to my life and there no better feeling than just being a good guy. :relieved:

For my day job I work at a comic book shop and I’m an artist too.
About 3-4weeks ago a guy came into the shop with his son (about 8-9years old I’d say) and I heard him telling his Dad that deadpool was his favourite character.
So as they looked through the comics, I picked up some pens and drew Deapool on a comic board and gave it to the kid. His smile absolutely made my day.
About 2 weeks later they came back in and told me how they got it framed and hung it in the kids bedroom.
I really feel like, especially working in a comic shop, that kids should always have a great memory of shops like that.
So I always try to give out a free sketch, or some stickers, or trading cards etc. Something to make a kid think the world is a wonderful place! Because it truly is, but we often lose sight of that as adults.

Great to see the OG community putting out good vibes and positive energy in the world!

You should take pictures of your drawings @SonsOfAvery . Maybe even put them up in your own thread here. I would have liked to have seen the deadpool pic.

Update on the Heirloom Afghani.
I’ve got 4 big females and 2 males. The big surprise was one of the male Afghani is a killer Skunky smell. It felt good a long inhale of it going down deep and carrying the Skunk smell way down in the senses. No females exhibit the male Skunk smell unfortunately. But the Male alpha Skunk will be breeding into many strains in my breeding projects. Can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to preserve these Heirloom Afghani plants. @Rippleseeds

I will do a large preservation project on these genetics. I’ll have plenty of seeds to gift back. I’m behind on sending out seeds.
I’ll get them mailed to the ones that haven’t received theirs yet. :100::dove:

Most genetics give you the indication if the leaves are there to feed the plant or you need to defoilate the leaves. If you tie down limbs light and air penetrate better, limbs become stronger too throughout the grow.

I have stripped plants clean of fan leaves all season and had killer results 6 foot spears… If pest and white mold spots appear I’d say
defoilate if your not tying your limbs down.

I spray my plant good with plain water year round, so I don’t have to use pesticides. I grow in regular soil all the time. Worm castings as a mulch work perfectly with regular soil if its needed. Then plain watering is 98% of what my plants receive.
Ashes, (Wood or Cucumber skins) work great for flowering.

I feed my plants only when it’s needed to keep it a certain green color I like my plants to be. Mean green leaves and silky green stalks. It’s makes it taste better when you keep the dark green leaves away from your harvest. It has a very clean taste and effect.

Some Heirloom Afghani plants here I’m growing now in drought conditions 2nd year in a row.
The soil is like concrete this year. :100::dove:
