Would anyone listen to an OG based podcast-TheOGBudCast

A bit too strange for even these old acid soaked bones. If this is real life and video ego tripping … I’m a think maybe I like my reality a weee bit better. lol :v:

By all means if you’ve got a show to put on - go for it. Wer’re all a little strange

That is definitely real life. It’s a strange place Manchester but we know how to party. The music is an overlay but the general vibe you see is how it actually went down. And the area is literally as slummy as mentioned. A quick google of moss side Manchester/or even type gunchester :upside_down_face:

Not gonna lie your wording is very cryptic. I Kinda got the jist of what you saying though lol.

I ran out of replies for 5 hours so I will be going dark and obviously had to edit this to respond to your reply. I absolutely don’t want to be the same as anyone else. And although I do look like a racist. I’m far from it. Growing up 90s in the pub scene over here a lot of casual racism was a daily occurrence and sometimes it still comes out but not as an offense. Just as humour. My dad was a full scale EDL kind of racist and woman beater. That showed me what I didn’t want to be. I still make bad decisions from time to time. And come across as a dick to some people. But chances are that’s retaliation again not offense. I love a peaceful life and although not religious buddhism and Hinduism and to a lesser extent sikhism speak to me. My good friend kabir (who I used to work the dogs with) picked me up after I crashed the car and broke my back. And took me to his parents house to feast for diwali. Treated me like family. My own family didn’t do that or wouldn’t. I appreciate the kind words anyway. You seem like a good egg yourself :green_heart: and that’s only my music taste when I’m out raving or partying. If you haven’t heard of him. Have a listen to sam fenders music. Probably the most talented artist to come out of Britain for decades. I absolutely love Fleetwood mac, David Bowie, the stone Rose’s. I listen to a lot of traditional Irish music too. Pigeon on the gate. Maggie’s reel. I can play si bheag si Mhor on the tin whistle. What you see here scratches the surface of my personality. My other loves in life are boats. Animals. History and a lot of the arts. (Although I’m a terrible artist)

We don’t talk about Merseyside in Manchester :upside_down_face::joy: I mean I’m happy to write a track called stay away you dirty car stereo stealing bin dippers but It may be frowned upon :joy::joy::joy: all jokes aside, if that’s what you want to hear I see no reason why not.
I would love people here to send bits they have made. Been thinking about video features (which would only really work for the YT side of things but maybe those that like watching over listening would like some bonus content)

not if you do anything except come back to the spot around time they sex themselves. that is how we used to do it, clear a spot in a briar bush and leave them for a few months. come back and pull the males if any survived. then come back around harvest time.

nah, wait til time to pull the males. save a trip.

I admire your dedication and determination and your past posts have pretty clearly revealed your heart. Your character seems good to me. We don’t have to be the same - diversity is strength. Truthfully I do my best to seek solace and peace - I wasn’t always who I am now and wont be again… all I’m saying is yer music is bit full tilt overboard for my taste but I don’t really care about that - just making note of it. You my skinny skin-head looking friend are a perfect example of why you shouldn’t judge a book until you’ve read a few pages of what it has to say… And unless the story changes you’re a good egg in my book :+1:

I know the music side is worked out, so this is just a very general thought; it would be a cool nod to your region if some Mersey rhythm (“beat” to be technical…) featured in the musical part of the programming.

Ha! Indeed! Doubtless what yo have planned will be killer.

It’s just that “I Saw ‘It’ Standing There” and had to make the connection…

With apologies to @MCR0161, I think the best musical thing to come out of Manchester was The Buzzcocks.

But I’m a 63 year old guy living in the middle of the US, so take my opinion with a grain of salt …

Sorry for the long wait. I’m still actually not here as a legit member. So only get like 10 replies a day. Im getting a lot more done in my daily life though.

I’m going to have to disagree on the best music coming from the buzzcocks but they are a good band. We got many to choose from. The Smith’s. The stone Rose’s. Happy mondays. The verve. The bee gees. The hollies. Blossoms. (they’re up there on my playlist) the verve. The courteneers. The 1975. Oasis. Joy division. New order. The list is massive.

The irony of joy division. Named after the prettiest Jewish women who were selected to “entertain” the soldiers in the concentration camps. Still gets me to this day.

You’re also just about twice my age my friend. But that’s just a number and you seem cool af :sunglasses::100:

Its the rain that makes good music, isn’t it? That is quite a list of great bands, Northern friend

It certainly is the rain that does it. Its pissed down for about 10 days here now. And I feel my creative juices flowing. (So did the mrs at 5am) badum tshhhh :joy:

But northern friend? Do we have another UK grower on board here? I’m presuming you’re somewhere south with that comment?

That’s Rowetta of the happy mondays singing for my little brother when he passed. A few of us went and seen them guest list at the Sheffield o2 arena. Bez poured whiskey in my baby mums shoe :sunglasses::upside_down_face: you can imagine the state of us all in that dressing room

You’re beautiful and you can do anything. Has anyone ever said “you look just like lizzo” :kissing_heart:

Edited again to say it wont post a FB link here. Understandable, so you wont see Rowetta :joy:

Sorry mate, just an Anglophile over here and big footy fan.

I think your lot would call me accurately a “Yankee Gooner”

I am in the Chicago Area.

No need for apologies. It’s always cool :100:

Yes. A murican said footy and not soccer :blue_heart: I’m a city fan myself MCFC born and raised. We had a belting season :sunglasses:

I love manc history myself. And canals. If you want to see a good part of england hosted by 2 British gems. Watch great canal journeys with Timothy west and prunella scales. I would put pru in my pocket and take her everywhere. Shes awesome.

related to the actual topic
I’ve been on after effects making a little intro, deeks and kdubz are working on the title music. (Will be like a 30 second intro. Let me check my equipment stonedly before I start recording)
I did send the test video piece still needing a few tweaks but I’m kinda pleased with myself to @HolyAngel

The intro is legit for sure. We’re gonna have a real podcast guys!

Haven’t seen the canal doc but I like her a lot.

It is legit but we still don’t have a workable logo just yet for the last bit. I’m chatting with the sound boys now. They need to do their thing this evening and hopefully I can see it with sound. A little stretching to fit.

I like your emphasis on real there bro :joy::upside_down_face:

It’s worth a watch. She had to stop a few series in due to her health. I always hoped I would bump into them on my canal journeys.

@Pigeonman I’m high af right now after not really smoking a while and I wrote down this.
A permanent fixture one would think :100::facepunch::sunglasses:
