Would anyone listen to an OG based podcast-TheOGBudCast

Passed the 100 views mark. The best thing anyone could do to help this grow would be keep clicking those links. I know you won’t wanna watch all the way through but likes, comments and clicks mean YT starts pushing it more a little organically too. Should help the budcast grow and hopefully send new traffic to OG too.

Edit. It says on YT studio 103 views but actual YT says 95

Had a look with the captions on the interview and guess I need to go through the transcripts and edit those. Make for funny reading without sound though. Or maybe my wake and bake is working. Not smoked UK cheese for a while :joy:

Right guys. Let me know what you think of this structure for the next show please?

1. Intro title.
2. Guest intro title.
3. Me and hank on a little walk somewhere with nice scenery to introduce the theme of the show.
4. Cut to the studio and introduce the guest verbally before commencing the zoom interviews.
5. Ask the questions I have lined up.
6. Ask the community questions.
7. What should we look out for in the future.
8. Say goodbyes.
Cut back to the studio.
9.OG news (important news from the community maybe regarding timeframes for seed drops, cup winners etc that represent our community etc)
10. Show your animals in motion. (A take on the show your animal thread where members can send video of their animals doing animal things, I know I’m guilty of traipsing the thread to see cute animal pics anyway. Just an idea🤔)
11. Thanks for watching/listening. Please like and subscribe.
13. Outro titles with special thanks to the team and donors.

Any feedback very welcome on this.

Just finished watching the video.
Really well done @MCR0161 and @HolyAngel , pioneers of the 1st Budcast!
Loved the intro (nice vocals) and kitty intro @ 3.10
It would have been nice if I had tried breeding earlier on but nevertheless gave me a good insight into the kinda work, dedication and commitment than one undertakes in finding the best.
Looking forward for more to come and you sure are a great host @MCR0161
Well done guys! :green_heart::v:t3:

Thankyou @iceman the shows not all about breeding. Can be anything cannabis related. So maybe come on the show at some point yourself? Talk about what it’s like to grow where you are etc. I personally want to hear from people all over the globe on this. I’m hoping to become a better host in time. And producer lol. Thanks for sticking with me on this though everyone

I really liked the Pilot episode. I’ve interacted with @HolyAngel a couple of times and read many of his posts. If I’m honest, I thought he was a crotchety old man that just loved the old strains (I do as well). It was a real eye opener to see someone that young with the goal of searching for them for breeding, preservation, etc. The effort that goes into that is highly under appreciated in my opinion.

Just watched, and I really enjoy that first episode!
@HolyAngel was a great guest to have for first episode, very knowledgeable and happy to talk for ages too.

I’ll be honest I’m not a huge fan of the podcast format in general, mostly because there’s a lot of bad ones out there, but I’d happily listen to/watch these, and looking forward to the next one already.

One, not criticism, but thing I’d like to see more of is @MCR0161 chipping in with comments, knowledge, opinions on things too as you get more comfortablewith the role.

I know you’re following a format and have set questions, which means the show will stay coherent (and I appreciate that!).
But I’d like to hear from you a bit more in future too, like if a guests response to a question peaks your interest or makes you have more questions on the fly, go with it.
And circle back to the set questions after.

I know the idea isn’t that the show is about you, but you’re the one putting the work in, hosting and making it, and you’re a knowledgeable and interesting guy too. So don’t be scared to just follow your thoughts on things too.

Hope that makes sense what I’m trying to say lol.

lol I certainly feel like a crochety old man at times :joy:
Almost 40 so not too young but not too old either ^^

:beers: Yeah! I would love this too for the same reasons!

Maybe some pre prepared off the cuff questions to aid the flow?

I dunno.

Theres a lot have said recently you should never judge a book by its cover. And they’re right. I still spam @HolyAngel with pics of my stuff. Hes still helping by sending ram for the laptop too. An absolute gentleman IMO. You could probably see in my face I had minimal clue in regard to breeding. I do well with growroom design and setup. That’s about my speciality :joy:

He absolutely was. This is why I let him speak bro. He knew what he was talking about. Inhad a brief insight. Breeding has never been my game. Although I’ll keep trying.

This makes me incredibly happy.

I’d like all the interviews to be coherent. And structured at least to an extent. But I will make an effort (without feeling like it’s an interruption) to drop additional on the spot questions.

I’m hoping to have some content that is just me speaking with some good visuals etc. To introduce sections and be a bit more part of things without feeling awkward. I’ve never been a public speaker sort of guy so it’s kinda harder than I thought

Every time I have to speak to british gas. It’s likely a call centre your way with me speaking to your cousins. Don’t worry about it :joy::green_heart:

That’s a genuine slice of my humour there. May not be liked by many. Sorry :upside_down_face:

The first thing I’ll say is, relax. I don’t want you to feel like the weight of the world is on you. You’re undertaking a monumental effort and we all appreciate it. Like many people here that give back to the community, you’re using your own personal time to do this. We get it. I don’t think a lot of people realize the effort that goes into the production of videos. It is not effortless.

The podcast will evolve over time, and everything will just naturally fall into place.

I feel like I’ve met two very cool members

I get that mate, I hate public speaking! Half the time I don’t even like talking on the phone

Will be cool to hear from you, and like you say youll be nore talkative when its on a subject youre more familar with.
But you did well to keep the show flowing and letting the guest talk is an absolute must.
Nothing worse than a host that makes every answer about themselves

Hello this iceman calling Fram de vurlds local bank. How may I help you?

This sound about right in text bro? Maybe we have spoken before. One of my best mates is punjabi Sikh. So we both rip the piss out of each other. Spent diwali with his family not last year the year before. Was awesome :green_heart:

That’s literally all I need to do. Sat there thinking how do I cut this to fit when done is not the key lol. It will get there though bro :100: I didn’t realise how much effort went into the production but I certainly do now. The initial plan was for spotify with just sound which would have been so much easier :joy: but this is how its evolved already and I will evolve with it.
