WubbaLubbaDubDub's Garden

Thanks everyone it was a really nice trip with the in-laws, nice to get away safely after these last couple years.

Topped the SugarBreath last night and topped most the others for the second time.
I switched the GeekBeast light from veg to bloom spectrum, Basically dropped the 450nm blue and added 660nm red.I’ve got the UV and IR going full time the last few days.
I’ve also got the Hlg 350R and HLG uv bar going,When the garage plants finish the scorpion Diablo will also come in here

Speaking of the garage plants they’re doing good, losing more leaves than I’d like but that’s what inconsistent watering gets you…

The fem cheese has put on a good amount of frost and has really nice purple/red colours in the buds

The PPP seeds on the 3 cheese branches are looking nice too
It’s probably easier to see in person rather than in photos but the half the Fem sour diesel getting light from the HLG scorpion seems to be ripening and shifting to red hairs faster than the bit under the 4200k (or W/E veg) 315CMH bulb

The scorpion Diablo below

The PPP seeds on the sour diesel are coming along too

Last of the photo bomb group shot other angle

I haven’t seen the sisters for a while and on the trip out here I was driving in the dark and missed all the mountains. Should be getting some better views on the way back. Might stay with the ex-fiance and her hubby for a day or two and go fishing in the river they live next to near Savona, BC.

The Cherry Noir clones I was expecting from a buddy back east showed up the day after I left and was 4 instead of the two I was expecting but the wife took care of them.

Looking at all that stuff you have going on is making me eager to get back home and get my shit rocking! Probably another week here at least or when I finally catch a decent coho whichever comes first.

Did catch the biggest trout ever at the cabin on the long weekend tho so it’s already been a great trip.

21" of hard fighting male Rainbow on that spinner by it’s mouth with the 9’ noodle rod. Got a smaller one on grandpa’s old fly rod the night before we left too. The fly reel is of more recent vintage.

Tight lines and bigger buds!

Aww lame you missed the views on the drive down but it will make them all that much more beautiful on the drive back.

That’s awesome your friend sent 4 instead of two! And even better the misses can take care of them while your out catching ALL the fish.

That’s a great looking trout buddy👍 And a stylish fly reel too!
Break some records while your out there, and enjoy the family time

The reel is just a midrange one but fly reels are just a storage place for the line when it’s not laying on the water. A $20 real is good enough and I believe that one was about $35 when I bought a pair of them 40 years ago. The rod is the feature in that pic after the trout. My sister destroyed the wire guides using it as a trolling rod with monofiliment line and wrecked the original reel seat so I rebuilt it 40 years ago and we fought over it ever since. She dead now so I win Bev! Beat her record of 18.5" to boot. Wish she was still here so I could rub her nose in it like she did to me for 50 years. I’m coming for ya Beverley!

Ya man @LabRat tells a good story, and he puts up with my long poorly written messages too.
What more can you ask for in a grow friend?

Watered everyone with aquarium water, did some training but ran out of yo-up’s so I finished up just bending by hand.
I’ll grab more yo-yo’s tomorrow and finish up

Got some fungus gnats so I’ll throw a mosquito dunk in my water bucket and try that out tomorrow

Your not supposed to put your grow light on an extention cord, your lucky you didn’t burn the place down.

@Syn To be safe what would my solution be?
Extend the cords on my lights so they don’t need an extension cord?

I have upgraded the extension cord and the old timer after that incident, the timer was over 10 years old from my old fish room
Edit- the extension cord was here when I moved in, thin gauge so I was dumb for using old and improper equipment. Your right I was lucky

I use extension cords all the time. You don’t want to use a 100’ 16 gauge to run a 1000W HPS but a 25’ 14 or better yet 12 gauge cord is perfectly fine. Standard house wiring for 120V - 15amp runs of 200ft are 14 gauge.

If I need a certain length for a long-time installation I’ll go buy the length I need and wire on the plugs at each end to fit. If for a heavy load like a 1500W heater or 1000W light then I’ll go with the 12 gauge for extra piece of mind. Wired in my own 240 line then split it to give me 2 - duplex 120v plugs that each have a 15A breaker 15 years ago and have never even blown a breaker. One side I’ll plug in my light(s) up to 1200 real watts worth and maybe a 12" fan and the other for small shit like another fan or air pump kind of stuff. There is another duplex plug already in there for the sump pump, exhaust fan, 750W heater and the 16" oscillating fan. I have one of those watt-meter gadgets so I check how much each device actually uses to make sure I’m not going over 80% load.

Those sticky traps you got are huge compared to the ones I have and they are always getting in the way. I have blue ones that big but cut them into strips before I peal off the protective wrap.

I was just yelling HELP, I NEED AN ADULT!
Thank god your here @LabRat

Okay well after making a larger gauge cord and upgrading the timer I feel safe running 900watts until the ‘outdoor’ is done.

Lol those yellow traps were 3X larger, I cut them to that size to make 1 into 3 and save money, I could probably use smaller ones next time ahaha
I found a 50 pack for 15-20 on Amazon
Edit- two of my own posts touching, combining them to delete excess posts-

I got the auto seeds all packed up I’ll try to get them in the mail in the next couple days

If no one has kids I ordered Huang QI from Asia years ago and grew it for a long time in Alberta,I saved seed and removed it from my parents property when I moved.
It’s a nitrogen fixing plant……but its very medicinal and can be dangerous.you break the plant and get the juices on you it can either cause a heart attack or it slows down your heart I can’t remember but it’s dangerous AF but everything around it grew well if anyone is interested

I have a couple varieties of to tobacco I’ll send, I had more but before I got plastic bins the mice ate like $200 worth of garden seeds and years of wild collection. luckily I gave my family most of what I collected and they helped get some of it back.
Turns out mice are pretty smart, they only really left the psychedelic and poisonous medical seeds lol

No thanks on that. lol
I have the next generation of the family all over the property.

Oh ya I bought these like 10+ years ago, what’s the deal with them? Anyone want yard plants lol?
I’ve googled the Latin name they included and not a ton info pops up, at least in Canada.
It’s not actually weed but looks similar
