Terrible night in the indoor tent.
Turns out 6 plants in 15 gallon pots is too much for me to maintain with just the two front doors of my tent😭
I got in deep today to pull some dead leaves and found out the chemdawg is just riddled with spider mites and spread to the phantom cookies domina and a little bit of the others in the tent as well.
Being 46 days into flower I’m not gonna spray chems so I cut down the infected plants and the bits of the others.
The 15 gallon pots are a bitch to move alone too so I originally thought I’d bring ‘em in the shower and spray em down but I’m not messing with that.
Well safers would have been safe to spray in flower had I seen them sooner but all I have is Safers End All which isn’t safe to spray so just cutting them off and hoping now
That’s too bad to hear about not much a fellow can do that far into flower . You could make some oil or bubble hash wash the shit out of them and process it.
I could have washed it and tried processing it but I was just in a sour mood and trying to work quick, I filled up my tumbling composter and my city green bin
Edit- I’ll be leaning on my stash of past harvests but I won’t run out or anything so I didn’t think it was worth messing with the bugs
Your a life saver buddy!
I’m spraying my veg tent tonight to be safe.
Everything is popping up at once over here just trying to keep it all together and help my sister out, there was a death in the extended family a couple days ago,my sister is dealing with a lot. I think my oldest cat is on his last legs trying to get him into a vet. and lost like 1/3 the tent to mites
Yup, that’s them all right.
They might persist in a worm bin but that’s typically ‘hostile territory’.
They feed by sucking sap out of live plants and my worm bins have a colony of sub-soil spring tails (predators) which usually make short work of gnat larva etc.
The garage worm bin had pill bugs, millipedes… all manner of ‘mega fauna’
Question on the red mites? Most all the mites I’ve encountered were yellow/ brown . What’s the scoop on the red mites? I’ve only seen one in my past grow that was red .
I think (some of them anyway) change color when they are mature.
Red being mature.
My bet is they got to the worm bin on infected material?
From what I understand, they cannot propagate there (they lay eggs on the underside of leaves)
I’m not a bug scientist but I read somewhere red/yellow/brown can be different species of spider mites.
But some varieties will change colour as they mature as well.
I have been way over feeding the worm bin lately and there has been some live plant matter thrown in so they were probably introduced on accident, hopefully they will die off soon
Edit- I sprayed the outside of the worm bin with Safers End All,sesame oil, oregano oil and Neem oil.
I sprayed the veg tent last night and 75% of my house plants, gonna finish the house plants today.
I didn’t lose anymore of the flower tent last night but keeping an eye on it
Good luck. Those things are hard to get rid of. I gave up an shut down for a bit.
I had the red ones, and the two spotted mites, which were white an black with my vision.
I hope you succeed in getting rid of them. Persistance is key. I just couldn’t keep up with them myself.
Look what I found lol. I thought it was lost in the mail. My wife put it in a drawer when I was away and it fell in behind. We were cleaning everything out and moving thing around and I said what the hell theres a bubble mailer back there
I was worried those seeds got lost in the mail too buddy!
I’m super happy you’ve got them now
@Nex420 im making progress I don’t see any more in the flower tent.
I sprayed with normal safers in there a couple days ago here’s some crappy pictures taken through my Method7 glasses last night
I just checked the mail and it arrived today my friend. Thanks so much for sending that, express none the less!
You did a really good packing job too, no noise or KoH out of the package.
Thanks for the sick stickers too! I guess I’ll be making up a batch of Soap this evening, let it sit over night.
