I love mine, it’s a cutting from my friends moms Hoya that is 40 years old, her and I each got a cutting… mine exploded, massive growth, I keep training it in circles on itself and it’s growing into quite the bush. For some reason I have to water mine 3 or 4 times to their every one watering. I’ll snap a pic when I get home, unfortunately I’m on graveyards for 5 more hours, lol
Those purple passion vines will go a longgggg ways. I love how they look furry
Very cool! I’m all about keeping a old line going.
I’ve got cuttings of my grandma’s tri coloured jade that’s probably in the same age range as your friends mom’s Hoya.
What kinda soil do Hoyas prefer? I can make a good cacti soil, garden mix, weed mix, tropical.
I’m gonna assume they want a tropical mix maybe?
Basic mix for me has been
1/3 sand
1/3 spaghnum
1/3 bark
And activated carbon at whatever ratio looks good to me lol
I never got my passion to flower but it wrapped around the entire fish room in both directions lol.
I was growing datura at the time and had thrips that I spread over😢
I throw everything in promix hp, except my cactai I just bought a small bag of cactus soil (it’s mostly sand) for my Peruvian torches. Even my succulents are in promix hp and love it.
I found a couple older pics if my Hoya, wandering jew flower and one corner in my room, lol
I love how the Hoyas new leaves start out purple then turn dark green as they mature
That’s some wetting agent. Canola oil? Of course! Thanks for the tip. I haven’t needed wetting agents this year, (kept soil moist but not wet.) but I had been using a few drops of detergent. Canola has to be a big improvement. Nice pics. Hairy little girls look like they will be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, time to roll some Humboldt Sour D and enjoy this wonderful sunny day.
One month later and this Amazon deal popped up again 400W LED bar fixture for 50% off
Works out to $203.44 +$84 shipping to Canada.
Even cheaper for Americans
Edit- cleaned out my grinder and keif jar last night. Worked the Keif in my hands for 20 mins(in gloves)
Then did the Frenchy Cannoli method of boiling water in a 1L wine bottle and rolled it out for 10 mins between two pieces of parchment paper this was the end result
So maybe I should change my journal name to WubbaLubbaDubDub’s House of cards, or Blatant disregard of weight restrictions lol
As of right now I’ve got 88-90 pounds of lights and a carbon filter hanging from my 6.5’X4.5’ tent, Ttec Hydro(TandThydro) brand that is only rated for 50 pounds according to Brian the owner.
Nothing seemed stressed or strained, after this flower run I’ll be reinforcing the bars and supports.
I’ll have pictures of the risky situation tonight at 930 when the lights kick on for day 63 of flower
You guys ever see these LED house bulbs with a battery backup built in?
If the power goes out it will stay on for 3.5 hours, I think they could be cool for clones
Those bulbs were on sale at Home Depot on the discount shelf for like 3-4$ down from something stupid like$19
Only 600 lumens though and it takes 8.5watts 2700k isn’t best for clones though
I’m thinking It could be nice above my breaker box or something for those few times a year we lose power, just for checking it out.
I wish they had 5000-6500k on sale,I’d use some for clones.might see if they make them.
I get ya buddy I stick stuff up my rectum all the time just to see what will happen! Jk for the lolz
I’m a cheap ass most the time, I bought a couple 8.8W 3000k because they were marked down to 2.10 I figured that’s a good deal
I bought a bulb for one of my flourescent lights today. Wish they had some of those on sale near me I would grab a few, I get power outages here a few times a year, would come in handy. I have probably a good 15 flashlights around the house and can only ever find 2 or 3
