oh you never know it could be ready to bloom at any time then! If you grow them from the store bought pineapples it can take longer due to the abuse and neglect it got during shipping to the store.
That’s a interesting point, I bought a pineapple at the grocery store and twisted this one off the top. So it’s definitely had some abuse and neglect being shipped originally.
I didn’t get it at a nursery or anything.
Also I can’t remember the country of origin or the brand so is it possible we have different varieties too?
Mine is at least 3 wide and 2.5+ft tall currently
hehheh there are over 100 different varieties of pineapple. I think they usually only sell two different kinds or something like that. Once you get a single fruit, the plant replicates itself a couple times over via slips, and side shoots, as well as the pineapple top. I think in order to get things like the red pineapples you have to order seeds and sprout them. Never tried that.
I’d look down in the top of your pineapple, the more closed the top looks, the closer you are to blooming.
then a little later…
I’ll try to remember to get a shot from above facing down when I get home tonight and see how tight the growth is.
I’ve been at the Hospital most the day a family member is in critical but stable condition so just hoping for the best

So sorry to hear that brother. I wish there was something I could do to help. I’ll be keeping them in my daily prayers and sending warm vibes of positivity. Family is everything to me and I’m here for you bro.
It’s been a long day of waiting, had to transfer from a northern hospital to this top notch one, weather was crappy so they couldn’t use the helicopter had to get her stable and ambulance transfer.
Waiting to hear fro the neurologists, keeping strong for my GF and her family.
I’m about to call it a night and go pack a backpack for my GF and bring it back so she has clothes and a book
Edit- I never left to get supplies, things are not well I’ll see everyone soon but I probably won’t be around for awhile again
I pray that you and yours are doing better my friend.
