I’ve been battling gnats hardcore lately. I had them early on, but they’re back. I’ve cut back on watering, have sticky pads, and sprayed the soil with some neem oil. I’ve been holding off on the idea of a 1/4” of sand across the top of my pots, but think that’s the only option at this point. I was holding off because I like top dressing and still have a couple top dressings to go. My question is will the sand mess up my top dress? I mean sand has no nutrients I know that, but didn’t know if it would prevent the nutrients from getting to the roots more. Should I remove the sand before each top dress and put the sand back? Do you think the nutrients will leach through the sand just fine? I was confused on how to go about that in the best way.

Week 6 and the girls look good! Gnats are roaring and I’m waiting on some Mosquito Bits to get here. I’ve cut my watering in half because I think I was over watering. Going to hit another top dress in a week or so.

WEEK 8! Everything has been coming a long fairly good. Had some issues with my PH tester calibration being off. I had gotten rid of the gnats, but they’re back again. Just added more mosquito bits to the top of my pots. I originally cut back on my watering and that helped with the gnats but these girls are thirsty and started to show signs of potential under-watering(probably also related to my tester) so back to watering 1 Qt each pot.

Looks a little battle tested but those buds look good! I can say that for quite a few of my grows too 
Oh yea, we’ve been scrapping it out blow for blow. They’ve been battling since the beginning. I’m gonna push them through though. Gnats are fucking going crazy as we speak. Might need to bring in some predators

Week 10 and we’re nearing the end!!! Used play sand on top of the pots after the last top dress to take care of the gnat problem once and for all!

Bulldog seeds caramelicious. One I’ve not seen for a decade now almost. Autoflowers too? Wow nice. I really enjoyed caramelicious when I last grew it but it was the photoperiod version.
The tangerine dream auto by Barneys farm… Not that great at all imo, but it’s fine for a filler. Like it’s ok taste, smoke etc. However it won’t excite you like some strains can.
Doing a banging job. Keep up the good work and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Plus once you pop you can’t stop. 
Got in at the end here, but I have to share how IMPRESSED I am with the bud structure and how lovely those plants ended up after some drama!
