If we had paint cans of cash & friends with labs & gas chromatography, we too could lookin the black box… 
Could be anything…. pH, soil temp, flushes, the whole myriad of inputs & environmental conditions.
he gave out the CBD so i won’t begrudge a few trade secrets or myths.

That thiols show is a serious voc deep dive and there is science out there that backs up my skunk theory but there’s more work needs done but that being said @cannabissequoia vsc’s we are on the right track
