A big bears grows and tribulations

This is my tga jack the ripper x sannies killing fields f5
pictures don’t do her justice.

I’ve uppotted 15 plants to 1 gallon bags to buy more veg time for sexing. Everybody’s a bit grumpy in this shot an hour later.

There’s three of each chem star, black gold, garlix copper and ak47 in the black bag rows from left to right.
Small cups are extras just in case.
Down front the two, 2 gallon bags are jack / killing fields, on the left and my sour-d /91chem12, on the right.
The Jack the ripper dad for the girl in the picture is still dropping pollen in our master bath non-stop since the mother was cut.

is that problem just with cali connection? i thought all chem’s have a tendency to herm. i know they came from bagseed but idk if were selfed/fem bagseeds or not.

I’ve heard it about Cali connection and resevior but I’ve been growing chems from topdawg, Greenpoint, Hso for years and haven’t gotten a single nanner.
I’m pretty rough with them too lol!
If the original bagseed was a random herm, that would be damaging, but if it had been because of neglect or simply waiting too long to harvest, then it shouldn’t effect the same in it’s offspring.

well that answers that then! i just remember hearing the original 13 seeds or whatever chemdog had came from a bagseed, might have even been accidental pollination or whatever, not sure if he got males from em or not, but so many strains have chem/diesel in it so i guess it’d be pretty common knowledge if it had issues

Going out on a limb with this. Do you run them a bit lighter on nitrogen? They are stacking nicely and I slightly remember less nitrogen in veg can hinder stretch or something like that? I’m probably way off this early in the morning. :scorpion:

I may be, I was running low dose megacrop up untill transplant. They are all in 100%supersoil now so I’m getting dialed in.

A bit of growth in four days.
I believe I have sex showing on all of them and tomorrow is another culling and maybe repot.
I’m getting the male isolation bucket set up for my chem star out in the garage.
I may not have a female garlix but I won’t know for sure until tomorrow. Too tired to do much today but it’s my first weekend off in a while.

I’ve taken twelve plants to the compost heap and have cut clones from most including males.
I got lucky and have a great female from all my strains and got to pick from three chem star males.
For the Lilith project.
Garlix gave me one female of six seeds planted for the second time for the record.
The cup stragglers in the pic are going to be uppotted to make a total of 9 plants for the flower tent.
They will all be trimmed to fit sog style. After a final uppot to 3gallon buckets.
This will be a great light penetration test.

For amusement.
Before I ditched the last dozen plants, this is a male jack the ripper that was trashed a month ago.
I decided to clone him since he’s smelly and immortal.

I kill plants that just wouldn’t have made it in nature early on. Anything with a good early stem rub is kept via clone and I’m not discriminatory against mutations as long as they don’t hurt yield.
If your into veggies you’ll notice heirloom plants are a bit f’d up looking lol

It’s an exciting time to be growing and Overgrow is the perfect place to show what can be done by the average Joe or Jenny.

Well ok. Uploading pics isn’t working out well today
I’ll try again tomorrow after the up pot to 3 gallon.
WARNING I may ramble a bit here so excuse the inebriated bears grumbling’s.

My diesel is a bit spindly but very symmetrical and has a great scent.
Killing fields X jack the ripper is very lush purpleing green with an ammonia and cherry coolaid scent.

My copper is again the mothball and carnations expression and the chem star leans toward chem d with also a mothball scent but accompanied with body odor and rot, lol nice combo
I’m giving garlix a second chance, i have yet to run it without deciding to kill it or only getting males.
I’m giving it it’s fair shake this time but I have doubts.
Honestly my crosses are blowing away my other plants and I cant wait to just grow them
These took 16 minutes to upload lol killing fields X jack the ripper

Ok we’ll see how this goes
I’ve got everyone in three gallon buckets in my recycled supersoil mix.
This is my first production run with buckets this small, and first production run with two of my crosses.
There’s a side run of clones and males for the Lilith chem project
There are seven females and two males ( copper and chem star, soon to be removed)
Back row far left is black gold, to it’s right is copper chem
Middle row left to right is my diesel, my jripper x kfields and chem star on the right
Bottom row left is garlix,kaya47,ak47.
The in-betweens on the right hand side are chem star male in back and copper in front.

We’re end of week 6 veg I believe and I’ve chopped the crap out of them.
This is my first defoliate type grow as well.
It killed me to cut some of those beauties but I need focus on the main cola.
I removed about 5 nodes of leaf and meristem from the bottom of some them and fimmed all but the main, cutting everything back away from it’s 1sqft boundry.
I’ll flower in one to two weeks depending on how they bounce back. It’s been a blast so far.
I’m feeding full veg dose per gallon every other day of megacrop alternating with kelp/molasses tea water, both ph’d to 5.5 as my soil sits at 7.0 my run off is 6.0
Temps average 75 degrees day and 68 night at @ 38% humidity.
