One White Rhino does not object to my prying her (?) hoodie off with a bent screwdriver. Not exactly thriving, but surviving.
Four, selected from 50 (front clear cup) for broad leaves. Was also looking for fat stems but no luck.

After three days in water I took these out and rinsed them with H2O2. Then I pushed them around between my teeth. Dipped them again, and dropped them in dirt.
2/5, both slow to develop. This is not how I imagined a scrappy surviver would germinate. I remain curious.
I was told that they were not stored well which explained the poor germination rates of 1 in 5 seeds. In my care, they went into my crisper drawer in the fridge then sent directly to you in winterâŚhopefully, they do better for you
You certainly warned me when you confirmed that I wanted them. The remaining seeds are in my crisper.
If they come up they are going to be in very good company.
Sometimes seeds where the embryo sac has a change to dry onto the seedling can run into issues, but nothing a quick spritz of some water to soften it up and coming back a min later to gently pluck it off.
Iâve personally have had seedlings strangled, and or the cotyledons or first leaves damaged to the point that they didnât make it due to dried stuck on embryo sacs.
I suspect I err on the other side. Prying hats off and then scraping the âveilâ with my fingernail. It does register, in the underutilized, logical part of my brain, that nature probably knows about this and does it for a reason.
Rescue too many seedlings and I will be breeding plants that need rescue.
@Mr.Sparkle, thank you for âembryo sacâ. Thats a phrase I should know.
Nice looking grow! I too suffer from a desire to see all of them make it and keep some around that shouldnât.
So. The indica leaning CGxPR went into flower on 1/26. 3/3 it began to fade. Most of the pistils have receeded and many have been orange for weeks. Trichomes, such as they are, are cloudy. No amber yet.
Even with an almost invisible sprinkle I am still excited to try it. Sadly it appears to be a âone offâ edge case pheno, no clones, no crossing (unless I get some MM, WR, CG or PR pollen ASAP)
I remember when Ms oleskool had a particularly attractive âembryo sacâ
CGxPR Laura, I noticed she had branches. I snipped her head off. And ate it. Didnât taste the remainder of the recent nitrogen foliar until late in the digestive process. Pah!
She may be with seed. Lotâa Jungle Spice in the air.
Wonder what happens with seed during reveg? What math does the plant do to allocate nutrients?
Update April 1, 2020.
Laura veges well. She may last another year.
My motherâs milk did the same thing before switching it to flower
Day 31 for the White Rhinos, for fucks sake. I have one fragile live one and these 5 scrubs. I have dehelmed them and massaged them open and they have responded positively but I donât get the sense that WR is going to be heavily represented in my spring or summer grows.
One healthy WR plant.
Then thereâs these three JOTI Afghaniâs.
Three of five popped and were repotted to Solos. Theyâre not really behaving magically. Not hardy, not big. Expectations are a bitch.
I have too much going on but Iâll let them grow up for a bit and see where the wind takes me.

Welp that Indy looking one in the back left is huckleberry my guess. It just sold me on starting a few. Lol
OHuck is a good one. Jumped right up! Mamilk too.
And this one⌠Though only one came through:
