A series of possible fortunate events

Yeah PH is in check , environment stays between 73 and 77 degrees. Humidity stays between 55 and 65. Slight breeze No signs of over watering or feeding. The last possible conclusion is… genetics. Considering theres not much info at least journal wise, don’t really have anything else to compare

I would probably do the deed man.

I’m gonna give it 1 more week and if it’s not ready for some kind of abuse, yeah she gone .

I was gonna top her, but the 4th and 5th node were so close together I didnt wanna fuck it up. So I FIMed. May have taken a little to much off the 4th node leafs but I dont see any issue for it recovering

This is only the 2nd time I’ve used this training method. I usually top so let’s see how it goes. As long as she starts to bush out I’m happy . Once she starts to recover from that I’ll break out the LST .
Oh good news as well, my light will be here monday

My light came in today , only took a week and during these times, that’s cool with me. The UV /IR diodes are nice and I love the dimm ability. Only took a few seconds to put together. Cant beat the price for 240 watts.
I got it hung up, sitting at about 28 inches at half power right now. I’ll alternate days of lowering the light/raising the power . Shooting for about 16-18 inches full power .

Wedding cake looks all choppy from the mutated leaf and the FIM lol. I also tied her down

I hit the blue cindy with the FIM as well . Hoping the new light will give her some growth but I’m still doubtful.

I put the afghan with the others for the night to get some height going

I still need to hang my exhaust fan and put the curtain up, but I’m calling it a night now.

Plants keep popping up! I also got a cilantro plant I kept outside since they like more shade, but the rosemary goes out during the day and in at night. I’ve heard rosemary will deter pests as well so that’s something I’m gonna observe with adding that to the grow room .

As a chef, already knowing I have herbs and peppers on hand right in my garden is super satisfying. I also got a new charcoal grill! ( I know, I know it’s the weed that’s interesting lol )

The wedding cake is on full recovery and speed of growth is back to normal after the top.

The blue cindy also recovering from her top and I tied her down to get some more lateral growth.

The afghan kush is pushing out the first true leaf. still nothing in the soil but roots accelerator will come in tomorrow

I kicked the light up to about 80% and its sitting at 20 inches right now. The added heat is something I’m gonna have to fix but as of now we dont break 80 so I’m not super stressed about that. I read an article the other day that stated said grower used sillica as a foliar spray, and it in turn helps deny pests. What do you guys use for foliar sprays if you use them? What about pests?

Well, one way to limit pests is to keep outside plants away from inside plants. Also, kick off your shoes, and change your clothes after messing with outside plants before you visit your inside plants. You can carry pests with you. Prevention is the best way to approach pests.

I would never go visit one group of my plants after being around a different group or someone else’s plants.

I’ve been putting the habenaro plant outside on nicer days, but it’s big enough to be kept outside 24/7 now . I definitely wont touch one plant and immediately touch the other but I could be a more attentive on what I bring into the room .
I’ve never had an issue with pests thankfully, at least outside of an actual spider up on the cieling and regular fly. I keep neem oil on hand anyways , and always use those yellow sticky tapes and a sticky hanger.

I’ve just heard nightmare stories about mites, so I figured it was worth a mention. Keep those ladies safe bud.

Had a super crop accident and snapped the top of the wedding cake .no big loss though just the top cola so I topped it again. She recovered nicely.

Shes been pruned a little to allow light to the lower branches . Tied down slightly until they catch up to the top.
I’ll transplant her into a 5 gallon here in a week or so. And even tho the BC doesnt need it I’ll do the same with her.
At this point I’m just letting the blue cindy go. It was a free seed so I’m just gonna flip when the wedding cake is ready and see how she does.

The afghan kush I gave some roots accelerator gold and a slight nitrogen boost to. I’m gonna let her go another week as well then put her either into a 3 or go straight to a 5 gallon.

I ended up switching my on/off time. With the new light running at full power the temps can hit 86. So the light goes off from 12pm to 6pm ( the hottest part of the day ) and I’ve kept the temp no higher then 80 by doing so . I still need to figure out a way to hang my exhaust fan. I played with it a little and each way I tried just puts it or the duct in the way. I’m not super stressing it since it’s just veg still.

I don’t have anything in the tent.

Yeah I want that AC infinity lol. Trying to get it set up without it being in the way is difficult since the opening is only like 2 foot wide going into the entire spot. To be fair tho I havent tried to hard lmao

Now this is the type of growth I’ve been missing . She shot up after that “fuck up” top. I gave both the wedding cake and the blue cindy a tea of the seabird guano at full strength 2 days ago. No burns or claws at all so its full speed ahead.

Afghan working on Its next set . I’m probably gonna throw her in a 3 gallon when I put the other 2 in 5s next week since I’m not sure on sex . ! I realllly want air pots but I might have to wait till next round

Then at least one of every pepper I planted has sprouted

Once you get those, you will really want something else as well. It never ends bro! :joy:

The wedding cake was in need of a transplant pretty bad. I couldnt grab any more soil at the time but I had a bag of coco peat left over from a vendor event I went to. So I said fuck it and cut the soil with it, about 70% soil 30 coco. Transplanted last night and shes already recovering, I’m enjoying growing this plant so far. I’m planning to flower in the next 2 weeks. I’m gonna transplant the blue cindy in the next few days so shes ready to. Still not expecting much from her .

I’ll probably take a clone of the wedding cake before flower or right at that 7 day mark. Then I have purple princess and blue gelato to start .

So after my last post, I transplanted everything into their forever homes <3
I gave them all about a week to get used to it, and flipped to flower 3 days ago. Heres where we are at…

That’s looks great man! We should see some progress now! I love watching them pop more tops out after some nice training.

Oh yeah definitely! I like the fact that my Fim/top turned into 5-6 tops on both of them. Just gotta get those smaller middle class to the top. I remember when I first started growing I was afraid to super crop. Now it’s my favorite training technique

Its nice to have friends from here in the area

I know the misc. Seeds are fems but I’m not sure the strain… obviously lmao.
That Panama x Lebanon I am STOKED for. I prefer sativa smokes and all I have currently are hybrids or indica ( the blue cindy is supposed to be sativa dominant but we will see)

Also, my yearly vendor event is coming up saturday! Let’s see how many goodies I can come home with this time. Last time I came home with like 3 or 400 dollars worth of free grow stuff!
