Are you planning to grow them outside someday or just not wanting to use air conditioners if not necessary?
I basically live in the desert, too, which is why I’m not flowering in July and August anymore. Took me seven years to learn my lesson haha, but no more. Either way, though, if you don’t have to subject your plants to harsh conditions (and it sounds like your indoor area is pretty good, climate-wise), why would you?
I understand the whole “breeding aspect,” but still… If you can keep temps and humidity at an acceptable level in August, I say be happy that you actually can and continue growing that way until you actually can’t control it, no matter how low you turn the AC and how many humidifiers you’re running.
But that’s cool… Let’s see what happens haha.
