Sick of the noise of my old bullshit :mute:

Looking to get a t6 or t8 now, want it to run quieter than the t4 on full for the 3x4x6

The T6 should be more than sufficient for your tent.

The T8 is wicked strong even on low levels in my 5x5. If I crank the t8 to 5 or 6 with the tent sealed (aka no intake fan), it pops the gorilla tent gear boards and high cfm bars right off the frame.

I have a t8 on my 2x4 :joy:

I run it on 2 at the highest.

That’s some air flow! :dash:

That’ll definitely run really quiet though.

I’m
Going to use the t4 in the new veg tent, 4x2x6 with at least two shelves, think it will be sufficient? It’s for veg so I can leave the flaps open on the bottom

Depends on what type of lights you use. Its not near enough for t5’s. Im convertting all mine to LED double ended bulbs.

@SmackyMcSmackers You can barely hear it running, standing right next to it.

405w of screw in LEDs lol. Maybe switch a shelf or two to 4ft led shop lights (2 or 3 42w per shelf) but that would just to be to save some height.

6 Inch okay for a 4*4 with all diy bridgelux?

Im not too knowledgable, but the issue you may run into is the ambeint temp. That can help or kill you also. If you aren’t venting outside that room can get hot.

@Chronickyle I would think definitely so man. Those run pretty cool.

I only ever run my 6 inch at 5 (out of 10) power in my 4x4 because after that the negative pressure starts really pulling on the tent hard. It’ll do you fine.

I absolutely love my ac infinity fans and carbon filters. They are the quietest, lightest, powerful and lowest power consumer fans around. The 6" is so powerful, I have 2 carbon filters hooked up to each fan. One pushing and one pulling air, and never goes higher than speed setting 6. Plus all the setting controls you can do with a great display screen, I got two 6", one 4 " and even one of their pc fans that I split between, when I gotta use my closet, or for an intake.

I use a 4" in my 2 x 4 tent, and it’s hooked up to 2 carbon filters and still sucks the tent in at half power

I was all set to get these and saw a video on you tube saying there’s a problem with hps and the controller, somehow causing the controller to be totally inaccurate , any one using them with cmh lights? if so hows that working out? the problem was especially bad when the controller was used to control the cloudline S unit in conjunction with the T unit.

has anyone tried to pull the digital controller wiring apart to control a non- ac infinity fan?
im asking cuz id really like to buy the T67 controller and hook it up to one of my other fans instead of the manual controller…

The controller is namely supplying a PWM waveform to the fan to control the speed (along with AC). The PWM signal, I believe, is around 10V. Also, 10VDC is supplied. So you have AC (3 wires) + DC PWM + 10VDC + DC GND that are being passed to the fan from the controller.

You’d need a similar fan that has similar inputs. I don’t know off the top of my head what type of fan it is, there are differences depending on the type of motor employed.

A standard oscillating fan, as an example, will not have an external PWM input.

You can do the opposite. Meaning, you can control the speed of an AC Infinity fan without using their controller.

ya i was wondering if it was going to be something along those lines. thnx for the great info.

And that fan has now died. So got 2.5 years from it at almost constant operation. But now ordering a replacement it looks as though best I can do is order an S4 for a replacement and it will use the same controller but ships me a speed control I do not want or need.

Had 2 of these and one was not in service so I pulled the fan from the other controller for the time being and it is working. So definitely the fan and not the controller.
