AC Infinity, Gorilla or SF?

I’m in the market for a new tent, the last time I grew…several years ago I had a cheap vivosun and wasn’t very happy with it long term as it had zipper issues, light leaks and the metal frame was kinda weak. I’ve been reading and it seems like AC Infinity, Spider Farm and Gorilla make good tents. SF and AC seem to be a little cheaper than Gorilla. I’m reading that Gorilla has the best zipper and canvas material. I’d like to have some opinions from you guys on this, what is a good tent for the money? I do want a good heavy duty zipper, canvas and frame.

I’m looking at a 2x4 and 4x8.

Thanks!

i have a 5x5 ac infinity, major zipper problems, jammed/broke in 3 places the only reason i still have it is i’m doing a seed run in it right now. i contacted them and explained my situation and after explaining to them that there’s no way i could repackage and send back the tent they sent me a new tent. not the structure bars or anything, just the tent. i still haven’t opened it but based on it’s size and weight they did the right thing and sent me what i needed.

i also have a smaller vivosun tent, i think it’s like 2.5x2.5 or so. i don’t use it but will soon. i had zipper problems with this one if i remember correctly some WD-40 solved the problem.

my first tent was a beast, it was super high quality. they just don’t make them like they used to.

I really like my Spider Farmer 5x5. It has really thick canvas, great zippers and plenty of exhaust and intake ports. I’ve only had mine a little less than a year but it’s in like new condition after 3 runs.

Secret Jardin is a great tent as well. Harder to find, but worth it.
I’d place it between Gorilla and AC Infinity.

My wife hates it, but I’ve really fallen for my gorilla 4x4. The height is something that opens up a lot more opportunities. If you’re OK having a tent go all the way up to your ceiling it’s very much worth the extra cash in my opinion.

Wife absolutely hates it tho, I cannot convey this strongly enough.

I have an AC Infinity 2x4, no issues at all but I always rub a candle on my zippers before use to lubricate them with the wax to avoid the usual issues.

A friend had a Spiderfarmer tent that was very similar build to the AC Infinity.

The Gorilla tents are the best built and of course the most $$$ of the three you’re mentioning. I’ve always wanted a Gorilla but the price point is too high for my budget.

I have a 4x8 gorilla. Paid more for the nicer one. Zipper stitching started falling apart after 1 grow. It’s wedged in my shed so would be an absolute pain to replace. So I have black out curtains across the front of it to keep it light proof.

4x4 ac infinity one is about done with its first grow and is light years better than my gorilla. Zipper is like butter.

I have a problem with one of my zippers. The other tents never a problem.

Gorilla Grow has a new line of tents that are priced cheaper. I have not used one yet so I cant say how worth it they are. The tent is a little bit cheaper price than the AC infinity 4x4

That’s not a bad price.

Im in love with my ac 5x5. No zipper issues at all. Zips / unzips sooo smooth. I will vouch for anything AC infinity except their shitty pruning snips. Absolute garbage!!! Head of QC must of been blitzed the day they let those roll out the factory lol

When you compare products always ignore the product Description and compare the Product Specifications. Descriptions lie all the time, that is the Advertising to get impulse buyers. There are rules regulating product specifications, they have less leyway to lie to you in the Specs.

I didn’t read any of anyone else’s answers, but personally I would want a gorilla tent that has the hight extension. I’m not tall and don’t NEED the extension, but any time you can have more area, ESPECIALLY without creating a bigger footprint, it’s a win. That being said I’ve got a 4x4 and 10x10 ac infinity and the only gripe I have is that they are “the thickest, heaviest duty material”, but the hose/cord holes are all made it of the same cheap shit as the cheap tents.

Sadly agree.

I know this is a tent thread, but chikamasa scissors are the absolute best!! I have 3 pair and will never go back to a pair with a spring in them.

That’s because they are Japanese :laughing::laughing: they are automatically better

Gorilla :gorilla: has a good sale going on, but by the time you pay :moneybag: for shipping it gets kind of expensive. I would do the A/C infinity only because I have one myself and it is of very good quality. I have one friend that has a gorilla :gorilla: tent :tent: and he say now he wished he had not spent the extra money :moneybag: on his, because the quality of A/C infinity is just as good for about 40% less. Try eBay’s A/C Infinity store or Amazon for the best deals. :ok_hand::wink::+1::facepunch::sunglasses::peace_symbol:
