Thank you @lambchopedd for these!
I’m speechless.
Envelope was torn open, seeds stolen, packages placed back inside with 1x unlabled seed in as a …
I’m sorry your hard work is wasted on the disgusting @lambchopedd .
I’m sorry your kindness was wasted on scum @Aglanthia .
Hey Pidge, that blows, but I can mail you a pack in a week or so, next time I go to the post office.
I asked for an extra pack to send to you, and then saw that Aglanthia did the same, so I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to give them away to someone in need.
Looks like you’re that someone!
Also, when I see the flag I automatically hear someone saying “sore-ee” instead of the US dialect “sah-ree”
Edit: @Pigeonman
Damn, that is messed up!! It’s pretty clear that someone in between got their grubby hands on those seeds. Fukers!!
Thanks friends… this is just so depressing. NOT the missing seeds; lost in the mail is one thing… but the fact that this was done intentionally is just… well, mind-blowing for me considering I have this “weird” happening of thinking “how would I feel if this was done to me?” before I do most ANYTHING.
So stealing has always been off my register even as a self identified “Chaotic Good” alignment.
Killer is there was another envelope in my mailbox in mint condition so at least I know it wasn’t on my end.
Oh man. I am so sorry they got jacked and kinda pissed at the post office. I’m glad @HeadyBearAdventures can send some more though.
Yo wtf ?! That’s so messed up !
Did they put the one seed back inside the plastic vial and then back into the envelope??
Someone has to know you get stuff shipped and just feels for a pack or someone each envelope you get. There is no other way. It’s not a mechanical error/machine in the sorting room, cause they punctured the tune right through the top, and the rest is fine. You should definitely report all of these. They will find who did this, they should have cameras all over in the mail rooms.
In fact I had to rewire a few post offices with fiber optics when I could still work, and they have these little walkways in every postal warehouse. It goes all the way around the ceiling of the building. They are designed with little slots that are used as peepholes to secretly spy on the workers from above to make sure or rather check to see if anyone is stealing. Only the agents that use them know they are there. At least I was told by the agent that the employees are never told.
Whoever did it I feel must be new as well. But they are in for some serious time if they get cought.
I feel so bad man. If I had more I would definitely send you some.
No vial. Just dumped inside.
Oh the damages and way it was all put back together is 100% human intervention. I’ve gotten damaged mail before and it’s always been sealed in an official Canada Post plastic mailer with information that the item was damaged in transport. Both times the contents were all intact with no tampering to be seen. Even roller damage tears both the letter and contained seeds were fine.
I hope they do as they kind of need a lesson in consequence. Working at McDonalds and sneaking a cheeseburger is one thing; but this is the freaking US Postal Service! Used to be folks would DIE in service of others performing that gig.
Thanks friend, don’t feel bad for me… but the Mother and Father that failed the human that did this in the first place. One of my favourite insults about someone is: “Either you have failed your parents… or your parents truly have failed you.”
Customs, you think? Ughhh… I may need to make my profile private, to better protect everybody
If it was in CanPost and “officially” damaged I always get it in a clear plastic bag that’s printed both with CanPost’s logo an a clearly Canadian “sorry for the damage in transport”.
I’m reporting all this here to ensure that if this isn’t just me that it can be addressed for the future security of your hard work @lambchopedd .
Also, I’m not ignoring DMs! I’m just stretched thin most days. Luckily, I’m off today & tomorrow (that never fucking happens)
So I’m gonna keep shipping to whomever still wants. Hit me up if you need a replacement!
I just sent out two that came back to me — hmu if your zip is (I have tracking on these):
14129
14136
Also, whomevers zip is [] …. The postage due sticker over the address fucked yours up So I’m gonna need your whole address again
(I saw the clerk try to save it right in front of me)
That package of Swazi still hasn’t landed yet.The postal service must be backed up I guess?
Fuck man.
I started just shipping like this because I figured it’d be easier than charging $10 for Priority Mail… but this shit has been a nightmare. Lesson learned.
I’ll make better choices in the future &/or go through a distributor.
Also, some of yalls Post Offices SUCK I see why usps gets a bad name some places
I hear @Upstate got a pack for me, thank you very much @lambchopedd
If they are sending vials thr vials put this indent in the letter when it gets rolled.Mist of the time the vial doesn’t get smashed but it can leave this hole in the letter. The shit head with sticky fingers sees throw then they fingerfuck thr package till they can squeeze out what they can get and send an empty package with either no vial or a empty one.Had it happen once and the way it was taped and put back in there a roller did not do that.I even asked who sent it to me if they use tape they told me not unless it was bubble wrapped
Alsooooo….
For all you guys that hate me for your packs being crushed — This is how packages are shipped internally. Don’t ask me how I got these. I may delete these pics later
… all day, everyday, (probably) every office
Yeah. Vials are rad, but I’ve never had a single issue with any washer based mailing, in a coin flip or just wrapped in tape. The flatness is key to under the radar.
Only time I got vials in letter with no issues was the 2021 spring box where Shadey sent me all in vials but it was wrapped in enough paper that it was a “lumpy-flat-thing” that you could step on with no issues due to the layers.
Bottom line for me is that anyone sending seeds gets them to where they intended because of all the resources involved.
I buy postage via pirateship.com, they get bulk mail pricing and sell you the postage.
A 4x6 bubble mailer with tracking costs under $4 in postage. Buy bulk envelopes from amazon or staples, print out the mailing slip at home, and never have to go to a post office.
I’d be slightly worried about the security of your grow. Leaving one seed in the vial seems like a message to me. Kind of. Were those sent to the address where you actually grow your plants? Or was it a “safe” address?
Sorry to hear of all of the shipping problems on the AGs. I wonder if my shipment was one of the ones returned as it’s been a while and they haven’t arrived.
It’s pretty obvious much of the damage/theft has been by postal workers, as no one else has access. It’s a shame the Postal Service has declined so much in such a short time.
