I’m pretty sure you can’t anymore but if you’re into fungal friends when I went you could get fresh p. Mexicana truffles in head shops.
the one mistake i made when i went was not researching which shops to visit. i just went into random ones, but luckily, at least, went into the grey zone and finally got really high. a lot of the bud was like US mersh. I remember telling the guy in a shop that and he is like…well, weed’s the same no matter where you are. I ended up smoking a lot more hash than i planned.

In general marocan hash is good because easy to import.
Same thing with cali named hash. It’s good material grown in Marocco
How I see if it’s good weed :
- I avoid all what looks grown with PGR
- ask to smell. Humidity have a specific smell. It means weed is not cured.
I repeat : weed with beautiful smell means nothing
When I go to amsterdam I always go to :
- dampkring (sativas : mexican haze, A5, C5, Kali mist, Neville haze)
- barney’s farm or amnesia (same boss) : dr. Grinspoon, liberty Haze
Good weeds you can find everywhere : amnesia, AK47, kosher hush, Neville haze, super silver haze.

One of my favorites is the " Prix d’ami". It’s huge and compared to many others quite a comfortable place to chill out. But it doesn’t have the Amsterdam vibe to it. I guess it’s more for “young people”. I still like it there in my fourties😁
The shop you’re talking about is my favourite place for weed in the Dam… it’s called grey area.

You can smoke in any coffee shop stuff bought from anywhere else , all they ask is for you to buy a drink
If using tobacco make a slight effort to hide it ( I keep mine in beanie hat on table out of view )
Waitresses / cafe owners etc don’t mind tobacco , as long as they can say “ we didn’t see it , he was hiding it , not our fault “ to officials kind off
If you forget stoned they will come over and nicely remind you ( keepin themselves and cafe right )

Buy a drink
And check the girl you fancy in red light does not have a veil hiding her crotch lol unless that’s what your after of course 21 century and all that
Oh and like any city , don’t look touristy ( bright clean fancy clothes or holding map etc or go down any street no one else is on
And absolutely no eye contact to any crazy’s ( they will try to get your attention )

A good place to stay is the flying pig downtown. It’s kind of a youth hostel but with a smoking lounge where you’re allowed to blaze. It’s right in the heart of the Dam. Within walking range of most places.
Spent many hours there, as the coffeeshops keep force feeding you or trying to get rid of you if your not buying enough drinks.
Just book a small room way ahead of your trip,so you’re not bothered by other people
The best thing is…the smokers lounge is open 24/7
