oof
thats a helluva question!
im thrifty, cheap, and willing to tinker with my rig, so for my first, i opted for the “Ender” line made by Creality, (the ender-3 V2)
they run from 150$ and up (if your near a microcenter they have regular 100$ deals)
they are basic, and once they are assembled squarley, and with loctite, can be decently reliable (with minor maintenance every 10 or so prints)
Quality control is very lacking, and customer service is poor. you need to learn the machine and establish a rapport with it like its a horse lolol but it will serve you well, the parts are cheap, and upgrades are everywhere.
if you have a good bit of $$ to drop, there are REALLY nice machines out now that are plug-and-play; calibrate themselves, level the bed automatically, and tune out the motors’ resonances. Checkout Bambu labs, incredible quality prints, with the option for multi-color prints.
Its a HUGE rabbit hole.
i have ender 3 V2, an Ender 5 plus, and a baby kingroon KP3S pro
i mostly use my KP3S because its silent and fits on desktop without taking up much space.
How much money do you guys want so I can test out the envelope to send cuts I have a special request from a good friend for some SSDD Bubbashine and I’d like to send him some I’m also curious this idea might help our the bodhi team
6 envelopes with cuts headed out. Let me know when they arrive you guys. And I request of all of you receiving these, please reuse the mailer if possible. I’d hate for them to just end up in the dump.
Also, sorry for the impersonal mailing. I was rushing to get cuts in bags and envelopes sealed and secured. I’ll plan to send at least 6 more out tomorrow. Godspeed USPS!
Dunno about elsewhere but it’s 70here today. Not getting cooler it seems either. Usually it’s freezing temps til March.
Also, I didn’t do it on all of them but I’ve been double bagging for insulation.
I think it’s more risky to send when the temps are warmer. I’ve had way less luck anyway. And all the other mail around these envelopes is great insulation.
