An Unexpected Earthbox Journey

Day 17 in the Earthboxes

Reservoir is still dry. I have had the light at the roof from last run and just turned it on to like 20% maybe (cant see or reach it very well), the plants JUST got into the 180 PAR range today. So they have been at 60-180 PAR max since they have been in the boxes.

Flipping to 12/12 today so I will be moving the light around and cranking it up a bit. Prepare for blastoff :rocket:

Earlier I lowered and turned up the light, they are now getting 360 PAR for a few days.

I also put a few training clips on the tall branches to even things up a little.

All recovered from the training.

I might have added some mosquito bits and water to the res…

Earthboxes doing their thing. Not much to say, I have not touched anything and only looked in there 2 times since last update.

Not sure if the front 2 are just taller plants in general or if the back 2 just slowed down from the cold they were getting since that side of the tent is inches from the window. Either way they are all doing just fine. May throw a few more training clips on and call leave them be will I throw a trellis on the frame.

Man these things really are an autopilot situation huh?

Bottom-watering is how the plants want to grow anyway, and it shows… I sometimes struggle to come up with any updates to my threads too. I pour a few gallons in the bottom of the res every week, but otherwise I mostly ignore my plants and they ignore me. :slight_smile:

And that’s the way it was and we liked it!

I’m used to women ignoring me. Less stress that way.

I have seen many times when there are 2 photo plants in a box together one always seems to lag. Autos not as bad.

Beautiful grow you had there brother. Things are really looking great this time too.

@LegsMahoney Ya this tent has been pretty EZ PZ these last 2 runs.

@Cormoran Hah! Ya I was sitting there thinking I want to update the progress, but other that a fuller canopy that’s all I got for now.

@imstinky Lol!

@Old-Ron Hmm, ya I have been curious if it is the cold from the window behind the tent or just how the box is wicking and getting more water from the fill tube side.

Thanks bud. First run was a bit of a mess, but it was still super fun and informative heh.

It’s got me thinking I should run two EBs in my 3x3 in lieu of a big bed. I could use some “set it and forget it” after the hiccups I’ve had this last run. :face_with_monocle:

This was my experience as well. 2 photos. 1 dominated and grew into the light, easily doubled the size of the other. This run I have 2 clones from same mother, last time was 2 different seedlings. Curious to see if they’ll be balanced, if not I’ll switch to 1 plant per box, might even try a Jr.

That will be interesting to see. My friend was not growing from clones either. The juniors can crush it too.

Maybe it is just the way I grow, but I get more from my sativas, than I do from my indicas. I have pulled 7.5 ounces of Jack from a junior. Getting under 5 with the indicas. :man_shrugging:

Part of me wants to like this and part of me doesn’t :crazy_face:

@CrunchBerries … ditto :point_up:

I was just wondering if I should run things from 3 jr’s , to one EB and one junior in my tent. This was good timing that I saw this. Maybe I’ll look into into the self watering tubing of the JR’s so they really make my life easy come flower time.
