Any clue what is goin on here?

Yep, double test each solution after i finished calibration and each one tested within 0.02 of where they are suppose to read.

I think you should drop the Vinegar it causes issues. Use PH down plants don’t like the changes and it most likely has organic origins so if your trying to limit pathogens that’s an easy quick one off the list. Good luck with your baby !!! Cheers everyone!!!

Are you testing the water in the bottom of the SIP or just what you’re adding? It could be that it’s drifting over time.

I use vinegar because its an Organic Acid which has benefits, one of which is that it creates Calcium acetate from the calcium carbonate in my water which is one of the most bioavaible forms of calcium for plants. Better for plants than calcium phosphate or Calcium sulfate which is what you get with most commercial ph down solutions, depending if they are made with Hydrochloric or sulfuric acid.

I honestly think the issue is I got a bad batch of Humax Humic Acid that is either old or something that caused the ph in it to go way up, its normally around 6pH. But I have used vinegar for pH adjustment since day one and never had any problems with it, and I honestly dont think its the issue here.

I found this video in my research before I started Growing which is why i selected Vinegar for pH adjustment.

She just got fed yesterday for the first time, so I dont think I used too much Megacrop, i started where i always do with autos, 2 grams.

Yep this has been the same set up i have been using for a year, its dr Bruce Bugbee’s soiless media blend

With your pH bouncing so much, I would be testing/adjusting it immediately before every feeding.

I’ve always read that vinegar breaks down quickly (depending on how much calcium(?) is in your water, so your pH can jump around unpredictably. Depends on your water chemistry I guess.

Well my water is heavy in calcium carbonate, so it def needs an acid, and vinegar gives me calcium Acetate which the plants can instantly use. Need to get a soil test kit so i can test the pH of the actual soil. I honestly just think the humic acid i got this time was a bit too basic.

Have you tested your run off?

Good evening everyone… Shot in the dark on this one guys. Could the auto pot be a title on the wet side for a young seedling? I normally have bigger plants when I move onto auto watering. Cheers Everyone !!!

good thought but sadly no, the first couple inches tends to be very lightly moist, its not really an auto pot, more of a self watering bucket lol.

I didn’t think this plant had roots down to the base of the sip yet, and you were watering it by hand…?

yes I was watering in a bit from the top until the plant got bigger.
