Apollo Lab + Boudica

Hopefully you are of the mind to do a preservation seed run with the A11’s…

Hey NeverSleeps!
I plan to run with Apollo for quite a while and that’s partly why I’m making seeds. Amongst the crosses I’ve discussed I plan to also make f1’s to further play with. I am also curious to have Apollo f2’s (eventually) and to find a strong Genius plant…plus any interesting “freaks” that may be lurking. Shiatsu is another that could show some interesting F2s (In my humble opinion).
I am basicly taking my comprehension of genetics learned from breeding show Rabbits and Dogs and applied it to MJ for the last 12 years or so… its been a great hobby with many stellar results. I love the thought that i am smoking something no one else (or few others ) have to smoke. The thought of finding something id want to take to f6 (or f8 !!!) motivates me as well.

UPDATE: Seedlings have moved on to secondary leaf growth. all rather tiny at the moment…lol
I grabbed 5 Jallisco seeds and dropped them in a water with a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide. See if we get some to start.
Motherlodes have moved on to mid veg…under 100w CFLs in Breeder Domes

Pics will be soon
Cheers

I found this video rather interesting and since its on:topic I thought I’d share. I particularly liked what they said happens AFTER legalization occurs…and how essential it is for the community to remain intact in the face of commercialization. Food for thought.

Good Evening All:
A lot has happened since last we spoke

  1. My light died so i bought a 2000 w LED system to try
  2. My mother in law arrived a few weeks ago for a visit…hence why ive been busy and not posted much.
  3. Ive repotted a few apollos and moved em to the grow tent yesterday.
  4. 3 days or so ago I started the Mad Scientists (White Widow x Herijuana)
  5. Have had a bad Fungus Gnat problem…used Stcky traps initially to see how extensive the problem was…used a NEEM an soap spray and then bought some beneficial nematodes (nemaknight shakeable)…

Thats about all folks.

Haven’t heard mention of those strains in a long while. Grew Selene a long time ago in fact kept a mom for quite a while . Good smoke.

Looks healthy to me brother! I’ve seen much worse recover…in my garden lol! Good luck on the rest of the grow.

I moved the 2 plants that laughed at the fungus gnats into the grow room (and made note that they seem to have some factor that the gnats were less than thrilled with)… the rest that were affected are getting some TLC. Ill be curious to see if the progeny from them will have gnat reduction factors or if it was somehow more circumstantial that they didnt get infested.
The 2 mature plants in the tent are Motherlodes from Sannies… i had wanted to try and clone them but the visit distracted me from the optimal time to do so.

I’m not 100% sure, but if you are looking for something genius leaning look for orange flavors. There should be some pretty decent oranges in there if you are willing to look…

:four_leaf_clover::four_leaf_clover::four_leaf_clover:

I hadnt heard that before… i was aware of the Baby poo and the ones i had before seemed …spicey?
I shall keep that in mind Kabuddha: Thank you

All Mad Scientists have been moved to initial cups for sprouting.
I used a “FloatTech” method (Hate the new way to term things…Its a way to germinate in a cup of water but you dont have the seeds sink…leave them floating and sprouting. I like this method better than my usual paper towel method… the sprouts are straighter and easier to plant as a result).
Things are moving on !!

I found this interesting and wanted to share…the info is pretty basic for the first 5.5 minutes after that it gets more enlightening.

Looks like i might have lost some of ya with the videos; My apologies. I had hoped they might have sparked some conversation.
Im still spraying a soap solution to maintain control of the gnats. The sticky traps are showing much fewer, but not non existent.
I spray the plant and then run my hand up the plant in a cupping

fashion to help make sure the entire surface of the leaves are being hit.

The 1st Apollo has shown its sex:

My Motherlodes are progressing well… One started to get tall so i bent it into the tomato cage
Now its height is mitigated…

Kinda eager to find out how they smoke.
Well thats all for now… I hope you all have an excellent weekend.
