They are a cute little side project. I suspect the F2 generation will have many genotypes, I also prefer the shorter ones.

They really filled in. I can’t believe how quickly they progressed.
60° would be a dream for us up north here, I’ve been loving anything over freezing these last couple weeks!

Yea I am not a big fan of winter. That is why I moved to SoFla some time ago.
I have been suffering here in South Carolina, waiting for the end of winter.
Last frost date (SC) was yesterday. And I should be back in Florida by the end of June.

Well, I harvested the older of the two autos last night. The taller more lanky girl was about 68 days from seed, and most of the stigmas had withered and receded. So a time to kill.
The little fatter plant is younger and should live ‘till late next week.
She has to stay indoors today. Nasty rainy day here.

I am woefully inept at keeping a grow diary.
I forgot all about this thread, which I created for my first attempt at
auto flowering cannabis.
I have to admit that I had never considered the possibility of ever growing them myself.
Being skeptical of their smoking quality, I could not conceive of any reason for me to give them a go.
But, then along came the reanimated OG, and I found myself becoming interested in
this type of cannabis. This was largely due to two members and their intriguing threads featuring autos.
So I was generously gifted some Divyder f2s, created by @Scissor-Hanz from seeds supplied to him by @ReikoX
So, I wanted to update this dusty thread with my conclusions/impressions regarding my limited experience with autos.
Easy to grow, once I realized that they do not require as much fertilizer as most photos …they did fine at about ½ of what I typically feed.
They were fun ‘cause they simply seemed like dainty, tiny versions of photo plants …and then they just started flowering. I had two very different phenos.
They were both harvested in less than 70 days, from seed popping to ripe flowers, very cool.
And having somewhat lower expectations about the quality of the smoke, I was quite pleasantly surprised at the tasty and effective flowers,
Good solid medium potency, the true equal of a medium strength photo. The taller more spindly plant did not taste as good as the shorter plant when initially testing them.
I just finished my last jar the other day, and after some cure time in the jar the less tasty flowers became much more yummy. Really nice flavor from both, smoke is smooth and silky with a very nice generic “good weed” taste with a touch of sweetness …rich tasting goodness.
Real nice balanced buzz which lasts longer than many photos.
So I am looking forward to growing out a bunch more of these for my next indoor grow.
Overall I would recommend autos for new growers who are befuddled by light cycles and wicked stretch etc.
