Hahaha No worries at all. He is an HVAC guy, so I’m sure he can let me know.

Why yes yes I am. Sorry been bouncing around. So if going through the ceiling you can use a tap as suggested by @Indicana_Jones the tabs may not be long enough to fold over the Sheetrock enough to give a good hold. Also I don’t really recommend venting directly to the attic or in the ceiling due to humidity and mold/mildew issues.
Personally I’d cut my hole and carry the flex all the way to soffit so exhaust can reach outside air. Then just caulk or foam around any gap in ceiling.

That’s what I was planning. I was just curious if I was supposed to put a connector in the hole and then connect duct on each end. That’s not necessary though? Just run the duct right through the hole and then seal it up? No damper or whatever or anything needed?

My pic above somewhere going through the ceiling I’m using a rubber reducer I had laying around because my original hole in the ceiling was a 6 inch for a miniature air conditioner. When I switched to using the hole for exhaust, I needed something to reduce to 4 inch flex my 4 inch just run straight through the reducer and over to the soffit. I just didn’t wanna make another hole.

It’s not necessary. Depending on the length of your run to soffit, you may want to add a booster. But if I remember correctly, you’re running 8 inch and probably not going to far.

Right on. That makes it less money and that’s always nice. Haha Thanks!

Not going far at all. It’s already by the side of the house, so just out the top of the tent, then through the ceiling, and then less than a foot.

Yeah your good.:+1:t3: if you ever just want to spend money and make it look all pro I can suggest parts but they are spendy once you get to 4” I saw the last airtight connector in 8” mis labeled for like 15 bucks at HD and snagged it. They’re usually 45 bucks.
For what your doing it’s just not needed.

That’s what I’m talking about. This place has a way quicker turn around time on information than my real life friend group. What with their “families” and other distractions! :joy:

My main distraction has become OG these days! :joy:

I used this:

To do this:

I used a rubber type caulk that sealed really well. I hate the flexible tubing because it’s spiraled, so you never get an even seal. I will say this though, that silver tape is amazing. I have a 6 inch blower in the attic drawing air from the room and I tied it into the house duct work with a Y tube. The whole thing is closed loop with the house. The air drawn in is coming from the house and being blown out a vent in the kitchen. It works great as long as my carbon scrubber is working

Went ahead and started the next round of beans. I’m going to start them in waves. Just starting the fourth week of 12/12, so seven weeks left of flower and then two of drying is nine weeks. Hopefully have this first wave sexed and cloned by the time the flower tent opens up. In four or so weeks I’ll probably start another twenty or so beans. This wave contains the following:

-Caramel Candy Kush (Dynasty) x3
-Moose & Lobsta V2 (Dynasty) x3
-Lime Berry Mega (Dynasty) x4
-Appy F3 (H&L) x4
-Alter-Latcha (H&L) x5
-Black Triangle (Bodhi) x4
-Big Bad Wolf 2.0 (CSI) x3
-White Hot Guava (Clearwater) x3
-? (Think it’s old Jack or C99. 10-12 years old, not 20+ or anything.) x3

The Caramel Candy Kush, Lime Berry Mega, Moose & Lobsta B2, and the Appy F3 beans were all gifted to me by the super generous @Slammedsonoma420 Huge thanks to him for the chance to run these!

I’m going to start a new journal for these once I finish these current plants. I’ll just save weekly pictures and put them all in the first post of that journal when I start it.

Was just looking for a charger to something and was reminded I have a Mighty+ and a Volcano. Charged up the Mighty+ and using it now. Really like these things.

Finishing these off with tap most likely. They could look better, but oh well. I’ll maybe take some out and take individual pics this week, but I never labeled these plants. A few are looking like they could be frosty. It’s wild how different they look under the grow lights and just room lights.

For real! Definitely when going from a mix of white full spec and blurple to all white! I put my Frankie in the flower tent last night with all white. I realized she’s still a little hungry! :joy:
She’s looking good my man! :facepunch:t3:
