Badger goes camping with his buddies

unfortunately, the shape of the bug in question leads me to believe it’s a spider mite. Thrips have a long body, where mites are round.

Thrips tend to look white on a leaf as well, where that bug looks more brown.

I just been in the flower room, the predator mites don’t seem to be doing their stuff, I pulled about 20 leaves with damage, all I can see is spider mites no predator mites

You getting webbing yet?

That would be the biggest spider mite I’ve seen to date… but to be honest when I replied last night I didn’t even see it on the leaf. Lol. Too much Chem smoke… shouldn’t be posting. Lol

I haven’t seen any webbing at all. They looked more red when I saw them. I wish I had a better camera for sure. I know when I Google red bugs on cannabis the only stuff I found was spidermite stuff. Little bastards.

The damage. It doesn’t look quite like the mite damage I had this summer, but similar.

The pic is not of a mite, looks like a thripe

I’m gonna try your method at some point, so I should be all good or calling you names. :joy:

The only other alternative is to talk the brother in law into starting a tissue culture lab.

The damage I saw this summer was perfectly consistent round spots. This damage, not so much.

The damage you have looks 100% like thrip damage… I battle them every fall.

When I zoom in on that Pic, I swear i can count 4 legs on the left side.

I would rather fight thrips than mites for sure. I hope it’s thrips. I should have captured a few, but I just wanted to kill them. I blasted them in the shower and soaked with safers.

What I am looking at is the brown thing on the center finger near where it connects to the rest of the leaf.

The white dots looked more like powdery mildew.

I call it a mite of some sort Not sure the species but pretttY confident that is not a thrip though

Can you see mites with the naked eye? These were fairly obvious.

Looms like a mite and mite damage to me, piercing damage, not rasping. Either way, ypu got bugs…

Yup, but no signs at the flowering area. That helps me pinpoint where I lost my sensibilities.

Are 2 spotted mites larger than spidermites? I’ve seen a spider mite infestation, and this isn’t what I saw then at all. These are larger.

I hope this helps everyone remember that you shouldn’t bring plants in your tent from anywhere, unless it’s from a proper quarantine area with appropriate protocols.

Not a big deal for me at this time, but it could be for you. Like I said, I’m glad I learned this lesson now, instead of 5 years from now.

Two spots are distinct and can be seen with the naked eye

I doubt the eggs could be seen W/o the aid of a loop

Honestly it’s gonna be a great test for work the way I look at it.
