yah, pretty tall for a trichome. I don’t think I’ve seen any over 800μm. yet. I would have a heart attack and die if I seen one 1000μm tall or a full millimeter.
Would a taller trichome technically make it able to hold more thc? I know size should have a bearing also, but what is your opinion?
I think that would have more to do with the size of the trichome cap, or rather the size of the thc blob inside. Probably stores terpenes in the stalk, those shrink when the smell goes away. Only way to be sure would be to get it tested
Looking good @Badger ! I bet your excited for harvest^_^
Only the finest material to make these.
I’m so excited I had to try to paralyzer already! I’ve been collecting pollen and remember reading you can smoke the male flowers. I slept like a baby.
All outta like likes
Hehe niiice! Good thinking
But yeah bro, that number 2 makes my mouth water. The blue kush also. Damn, I’m looking forward.
Outrageous purple coloration on that #2! Very nice plants.
Someone did a great job on the run.
Since 7 didn’t cooperate with our cloning efforts, we will see if she cooperates with our re veg efforts. She was harvested first and put under 24 hour light. The rest have a dark period, then harvest.
One sure thing about myco in your soil, fungus gnats luv it.
There’s one plus.
Gnats certainly like fungus. I have not seen any studies if mycorrhizal populations are a food source for fungus gnats. Maybe though.
It really may not be a food source.
Especially since the little bastards end up eating the roots of my Marys, though I’ve had tubs of living soils covered in landscape fabric and thousands of gnats thriving there.
Fungi interaction in living soil create many positives for life in general, not all of which are fully or even partially understood.
For one, I never believed plant roots could absorb colloidal particles.
For me then it was NPK.
No offense to our hydro brothers but Mary has a vibrant life force, one totally suited to finding, fighting it’s way through life, with the goal of growing to sexual maturity and bearing plump, vibrant seeds.
IMO no better place for Mary’s roots to do that are a living soil with it’s web of life.
You don’t get that with hydro or at least chem hydro where the plant is on a sort of intravenous drip , all nutrition provided.
A lot of great pot is grown that way but without the fight, strains will eventually weaken.
Apologies for the sidecar.
I’m gonna go the opposite, no nutes, I put them in solo cup at 9-12” after 7-10 days in cloner, 75% coco 20% soil and. Bit of perlite. Pot the plant and hump a hill up around it. Leave an inch from rim to soil. Only water in the trough around the island fill to rim once and let settle, only water fir 3 days with a 1/4 strength foliar feed light a few feet from plant. If healthy water same way only fill to the rim and let settle, repeat until it just starts to weep. By this point you can ramp up to full strength nutes. Most cuts I kill are too much soil and water/nutes and some plants are just hard.
That is very true. The symbiosis that Mary has with all the micros is amazing. She rewards you with a wider variety of terps in many cases. Force feeding plants will work and make better yields, but there is definitely something about living soil.
No need to apologize. Anyone is more than welcome to share their thoughts on growing here.
Yeah, we didn’t add any nutes. Overwatering is always a question right? Little roots definitely need oxygen. There definitely could have been a little bit of that. Combine that with re veg stress, and you can definitely kill some plants.
Just like women in life. Some are mean girls
I use very little.
A bit of nitro in seedling form
Flowering
A bit of 20 20 20
A bit of bone meal
A bit of ewc
And a bit of Epsom salt
Pure blend pro used sparingly
I really like the down to earth bio live. They were getting ready to not be able to sell here, due to labeling issues, so I went to stock up. Apparently they fixed their labels, but I stocked up anyhow. 50 lbs should last a good minute.
I up potted all the terp bomb seedling with a method I tried last time. They went from a tiny pot to a small pot with supersoil. This should give them a good boost for a couple weeks. They were starting to fade a bit. I finally numbered them also. A couple are of questionable vigor, but I’ll give them another chance.
I uppotted another paralyzer 4 male to keep up with pollen demand. I also chopped him down 4 or 5 nodes after the picture.
I also up potted the 2 paralyzers I got from hoppy. The roots weren’t very developed.
I’m getting ready to get super busy at work, so I want everything to be happy without much work for a bit.
Have a great day!
Hey man. I don’t want to jump your thread, but you posted in another thread, (that I can’t find now), that you guys use a lot of Pro-Mix at work. Can I ask where you get it? I used to order it through Walmart. It was $75 or so, and I’d pick it up at the store. I’ve been trying to find a 3.8 bale online, and it’s $120-$160 a bale, even at WM.
Thanks @Badger.
