Badger goes camping with his buddies

I like it, sometimes runt of anything end up the big bot on the block @Badger. Can’t wait to see flowers. :facepunch:

Well, you don’t have too much faith in these, but like I said, seeds that old are interesting. They could turn out nice, or not. :joy:

The leaves look similar between the runt and #3 from my previous grow. It seems like the #3 had fatter leaves when it was young, but they got thinner when the plant matured. The one’s I got from you skipped the fat phase, and went straight to the more mature width.

The darker one on the bottom is from the runt.

I’m experimenting. I’ve done some reading, and I’m gonna try this out before I would like to leave town.

I got these dish bins from the dollar store.

I put about an inch and a half of perlite in it, and sprayed it well with water.

Then I added probably half an inch of water. The perlite should act as a wick and as long as I can get some soil contact, boom, plants watered for a few days. I may even you’ll half my bulbs out and cool my tent down a bit. The jury is out on that, but I’m gonna see how this works.

In other news, I’m proud if my first re veg. I should be able to pull clones shortly.

Edit: I’m glad to see you more active on here bro. You know who you are.

Yes @Badger I admit I was very unsure about them, they do look very similar. Almost 30 years between them.

I gotta get one of those cloning machines. I’ve managed to ruin 17 cuttings the last couple weeks. What one is that Badger?

I took a psycloner, and got rid of the pump. I put 4 of the round airstones in the bottom, running off a 2 port pump, as an aerocloner. Im going to clean it up really well in the next week, and put a 4 port on it, to really pump out the droplets. I run about 2/3 ro water, 1/3 tap. Its been getting roots on almost everything.

The downside is I have to keep them under a dome for a few days while the roots adjust to soil.

Are the roots very big when you plant them? or still small?

Im shocked the putang hasn’t exploded yet, most of the cuts I pulled blew up as soon as roots hit.

I don’t usually let them get all that big. Could that be the issue?

@anon80727880 the putang has blown up. It rooted fastest, and started growing quickly. You were correct when you called it a beast. It was the largest and last to start crying for a transplant also. I rooted it in a peat puck, so no humidity required.

I would only plant the one in the second image. There’s a pinch point between the surface of the roots and the transpiration of the leaves, aka too few roots and too much transpiration.

I will keep that in mind for sure buddy. Thanks!

You must have been working on her some. That looks like it will turn out to be a nice bush. Those tend to be lanky.

These sips are hitting high gear. I haven’t had any stalks the big indoors, and these are just now really taking off.

The trunk the lighter is next to, was a clone of the ppp2. It was taken in flower. I got 5 nice clones off the top and out her in the sip. She is swelling up.

The two were both bushy then one day he stretch and showed sex. I’ve topped her and then tied her down, worked out well. Took six cuttings but I failed getting them to root. Gonna have to invest in one of them 99% guaranteed things.

I’ll show you where my fastest roots have come recently. Edit: my first 7 day roots were in a jiffy pellet

Soak those pellets in rainwater or ro water, and stick them in the dome. I use a little clonex gel. Recently I’ve also been trimming them up, and letting these cuts heal before taking the cutting.

My machine for sure was what started my cloning success. I just ran out of room, and went back to some peat pellets.

Another change I made recently was I started washing my scissors with hr water and soap while scrubbing with a sponge. I’ve heard a lot of talk recently about the various viruses cannabis can get and disinfecting practices. I don’t want to ruin my tools with bleach, so this is the other way I know to get rid of viruses, wash them away.

SOPs at the cannabis farm says you should wash your box cutter knife in disinfectant before opening your sack of green sand. Gummint is more insane than I am about contamination.

Rubbing alcohol on every surface that’s gonna come in play with cultivating.

I was doing that for sure, but it does not kill some of the viruses. That is why I’ve been giving tools a good scrubbing. I would like to avoid bleach if I can.

10% bleach on tools will prevent the spread of HpLVD and other viruses. Rubbing alcohol, not so much.
