Yeah so from reading his mailing list over the last year or so, I know he gave out the DE male but unsure on the A5/Thai BX Male. I’d assume so as that arguably seems a more important male to keep around than that DE male…
He didn’t take any plants with him to Mexico. He has seed stock from everything he made. He wasn’t clear in the newsletter, and I never personally asked, if he did make the a5 hybrids back in july and just isn’t releasing them publicly (yet). He implied there was a light leak issue and it just didn’t work out back in july of 22. Maybe he made them before or after Either way, none of us are likely buying those anytime soon.
Best place to keep an eye on his releases is gonna be HeadieGardens. GLG gets stuff too, but SHOE seems to always have extras GLG never got.
At the end of his latest Mexico Update email he wrote: “Everything is limited edition since I no longer hold the same breeding stock… However, my A5 Haze/Thai bx male is still alive with the help of a friend.”
Even if Doc ever does release A5xA5H/Thai, I imagine them shits will be hard to get and probably sell out in a second, lol.
The A5htbx male is still alive and well stateside.
Last I talked to Doc he was planning on making and releasing these 5 and had a few more on the maybe list …

I grabbed a pack of Ace Seeds Thai A5 Haze Regular Limited release a while back, it’s A5 Haze x pure Thai Chiang Mai. I have 7 different males at the moment that I want to cross to the Cuban Black Haze clone. I have limited space so I was thinking of doing an open pollination with all 7 males. Might be similar to the original Bandaid Haze the #7 was found in. Would anyone be interested in these seeds?
Reading this thead has inspired me to give some hazes a try. I have Doc-D’s Bandaid Hace IX 3.0 and I noticed Headie still had some of his Black Magic Haze ( Cuban Black Haze x (A5 Haze/ Thai BX) so I grabbed a pack of those. I’m running a HLG 300L Rspec. Is that going to be enough to get a satifactory result from these? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I popped more than half my first pack I got from Doc himself and been getting all males so I just bought another pack from headie gardens as well when I saw Shoe had some still! Nice score dude can’t wait to see what u get too!
Also running Bandaid haze4.2, Piff S1 x A5haze, black triangle x A5haze/Tbx and a few others but the Cbh x a5hazethai bx is the one I’m focusing on. Just put 3 more from solos in 1 gals hopefully I’ll get a girl this time. When I have space/time I’m gonna probably run the whole other pack on their own just to get better idea of the diversity. I’ve been noticing 2 distinct phenotypes from them. One with kinda rounded silvery green leafs more a5 leaning and one with more papery fuzzy light green longer leaves with sticky stem rubs and occasionally varigated, I’m guessing cbh leaning. Been trying to find something that show both of em nicely. I am saving 2 best males for when I do get a girl to continue hunting in the next generation, cheers man hope all is well!
I bought two packs of the black magic haze. Was planning on poppin them on the next run. Currently have Cuban Piff, Redline Haze, NL5 Hz, Albany Piff and a Cubano Black Haze going.
Either way, none of us are likely buying those anytime soon.
