To repeat. That soil is ready to rock. Take cover off and top water. Should be live worms and all kinds of other things. Water. Grow something. Veggies, cover crop or the weeds that’ll volunteer. Active root exudates is the goal.
Had some sprinkles a few days ago. Shaking her out there was a smell reminiscent of Og but different. More dark musky with a hint of rancid. Her flower structure reminds me of Og too but so far no staking necessary. Shes a squat Queen. If she were taller she might need stakes. She also looks less healthy than yesterday. Gotta be here daily to notice. Leaves look less leathery making em appear lighter.
Itd be cool to know that the Chems have less goodies in the soil than Glitterbomb. They’re like 1/4 of the size. But the topdress was pretty equal across the board.
If the space and time exists building soil makes way more sense than buying soil. Malibus, Coast of Maine Shrimp Lobster and EWC 3cuft. Pumice hydroton pebbles lil biochar 3cuft. Peat coco coir used soil 3cuft. Cover crop worms and a month or two. Chefs kiss.
Thats the base. Individuals like kelp, gypsum or karanja etc. can be added or all inclusive products like Dr Earth or Pridelands. Biology means life so yeah. Off to the races with a better quality soil for pennies.
SImPlify.
Btw if the 3 plants above were in 10-15 gallon pots for 3 months they wouldn’t compare. Feeder roots and roots that drink being separated and satiated is what makes SIPs special.
The 2 spots found on Glitterbomb so far have been really small. The brown really stands out against the purple. Gonna see what happens. Wathcing close.
Chopping because of rot is not fun. Took half the plant. Would like another 7-10 days. Very little amber. We prefer a daytime smoke cause we do. This may work out to the benefit of all involved.
Good Morning Bay… I saw this for sale in your area. If it was close to me I would be very tempted to grab it up. Just wanted to share as they do not come at this price point. Cheers everyone !!! Hopefully one of the OG family snap this up. Cheers
This is on offer up.
@Bayarealivingsoil I hear you on the bud rot. These plants are changing as fast as the weather is… very hard to keep up over here. I think you’re right to chop them earlier than amber this year. Good luck!
Santa Cruz hills growers are out harvesting as of this past Monday too
Hahaha… I’m going to leave that for @Bayarealivingsoil to grab. I have no more space for anything here… would love to try one of them at some point though. I just wasn’t aware of the app/service and I’m finding that as I age I’m having to ask people where all the cool kids hangout now I’m still using mostly stuff from 2001 that doesn’t require an account!
I have gotten some great equipment from social media sites. That’s really the only place to turn gear you are not using. Lots of good stuff around cheap. Just be safe. I only do cash on pick up after I inspect said item. Cheers !!!
@mota My wife who’s 12 years older than me is my proxy to the contemporary culture… but thank you very much for the offer and I may ask if she gets sick of me
@BTYGMO You’re 100% correct. I use Craigslist to sell things or give them away. Always careful about things. $599 seems to good to be true to me anyway. Like those apartments you see in SF for $1200 for a 1000sqft and it’s like “yeah, okay… cause that’s not a quarter of the going rate and this definitely isn’t some Asian mafia scam that will want a copy of my drivers license”. I like that they are a small team of people where the owner knows all the employees names and they don’t gus up the site with a bunch of colors and pictures… just the data thank you. I work in tech so I understand all this stuff I’m just not impressed by it. Give me a a headphone jack and a phone with a chord, while you’re at it.
@BTYGMO good looking out. Thats a great price. This $9 rolling wardrobe plus clips is the bees knees. The $300 on that dryer is why I cant justify a portable washing machine. No hash. Any grow pics?
@Couchlocked do you reamend with that pak for every grow? Sounds simple enough. Are you hand watering? Any gros pics?
@AMunkFromCupertino thanks for that video. Comparing amber to brown spots on Bananas is really interesting. Ive seen your beautiful spread and its a similar feeling to the green alley. Finishing.
lemme know if youd like cover crop. Daikon radish. 1st time seeing that in a cover crop mix. Off Tuesday and Wednesday. FAA watered in cover crop. All these plants can be fed back to the soil too. No experience with Mustard though and its pretty strong.
Growmies theres concern for the Chems. Rains coming. Considering like a 6ft length of clear plastic tarp stapled from roof to fence top. Place to push em when its raining. They’re pretty short.
So jealous I was hoping I won that light lol but I’m glad u got it an ur already getting it up lol I’m popping that pack u sent me lol should I do paper towel method an those are all fems correct
