BeagleZ Corner

no he’s sending them out because it’s a special ceremonial line that should be preserved. Not so you can just make insecticide with it :joy: but yeah you can’t really smoke it much either so  Its a very pretty plant and easy to grow.

i’d be super interested in this, i’d grow those for sure, has to be good shit from bodhi, even if it’s insmokable but it’s a pain those motherfuckers grow slow and the leaves are sticky and collect dust like crazy, i got 2 harvests ($5 1000 seeds from etsy) and fucked up the dry both times, but it smelled really good and turned dark brown, 3rd time the charm

I’ve got a pack of those if you are interested.

Yo, any suggestions on what cigarette tobacco to get? i like canadian cigarettes, should i get the canadian tobacco, is it that simple? haha, and i know american cigarettes are always “blends” probably why they have that thick cigar stench, but yeah i started smoking with tobaccoo leaves that i had to hand chop, so i’m very interested in this for sure

What up Fam! Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!
Good vibes and Gratitude goes out to all the vets :us:

Commence update…

Finally finished the final trim on all of the harvest and it’s all in jars. Will grade and re jar everything in a week or so. Will have some bud pics/initial smoke reports then.
First impressions on everything has been really good overall.

Managed to take some crappy pics this evening as everything was waking up.

The 4x4 is back in action. Cover crop is germinating and breaking ground, can’t wait to see what all come up.

Crazy mite action…

The girls were in need of new shoes for sure…

Up front we have our SaintsCrossing, on the right SSDDbX#1, in the back SSDDbX#2 and ValeTudo on the left…

Everyone needs to get adjusted for a few days and enjoy some LITFA. Right now though it seems the VT and SC and enjoying their environment a little more than the SSDD’s.

So far the SSDD’s are pretty much identical.
The VT is the most vigorous and tallest, while the SC is deff the more stalky of the bunch.
Really really liking the structure of the SC.
Will get more detail pics of the plants once the settle in.

In EB news…
I’m loving this fade. These pics do no justice to the yellows, lime greens, pinks and specs of purple…

Getting some pretty heavy foxtails, just a couple of middle fingers sticking at me when I open the tent :joy:

I think I’m about 2 weeks from chopping this momma. Trichs are starting to go amber and I’m guessing I’m at least 1 week past my last harvest date with the ST…

That concludes this evening’s installment.

I don’t like seeing those, are those the motherfuckers with the brown spots on their backs? if yes, watch out, they invade and will eat roots! Venerate will nuke them tho

eb news? nice canopy! what are those? Get yourself a DSLR camera… you’ll be able to capture the colors, night and day difference, i got mines in 2010 or something, it’s a canon t2i i still use it everyday, works like new and i mistreated the absolute shit out of it

for example they have this one on ebay (i hate phones and phone pictures haha)

Not sure what those are, need to take a closer look but haven’t noticed any negatives yet…
Thanks for the heads up, will be investigating for sure.

When it comes to taking pictures I am just lazy at the end of the day. I’m surrounded by cameras on the daily, I have a 5ds and a R5 sitting about 15 feet away from my tent with a multitude of lenses lol but just can’t be bothered at the end of the day :joy:
Thinking on this a bit more, the main reason I think is that it is just easy to take pics with my phone and do my update all at once while im in the corner. More of a convenience factor for me, my day is already slated to be working on images and processing pics so dont really have time to do more of that.

Hey @BeagleZ when you sow cover crop, do you just dictate seeds over the surface, or do you cover them with some soil?
I’m about 30 days from starting my raised bed, and I’m going to use the BAS cover crop blend

I know you are asking @BeagleZ but In my 20 gallons I just toss them in the surface I might toss a tiny bit of ewc over them Then I cover with straw mulch( I’ve used nothing other then bas cover crop it’s been great)

Thanks DHG, that’s what I wanted to know!

Agreed, just toss them in @HeadyBearAdventures , I have found that watering them in is sufficient for the most part.

I’m not an entomologist so I’m not making an identification, but they’re likely grain mites and not bulb mites. When you order Stratiolaelaps scimitus( formerly Hypoaspis Miles) they come packed in a bran mixture with Tyrophagus putrescentia as a food source for them. I wouldn’t put valuable seeds in any soil containing them, but once established beyond the cotyledon their pest status drops significantly.

Interesting video on grain/cheese/mold mites :

nice vid, thanks @syzygy ! I think your right. They cover areas of the surface when I water and then go away once it has dried up a bit.
Dont think ill do anything about it right now, im thinking the rove beetle population will bounce back and balance things out. Might hunt down some lady bugs or praying mantis again.
