I’m pulling for your saints crossing! I have a pack and would like to see what comes out of it. The defoliation hopefully helps to get her some more sunshine!!

What up Fam! Just saw something I wanted to share. I would say maybe 40-50% of the pistols are coming out like this on the Vale…

I love her too :heart_eyes::crazy_face:

Quick update tonight Fam. Trying to get the rest of the StrawberryTemple processed so I’m making this quick.

Stretch is in full effect, everyone is pretty damn happy I think. Gave the bed JMS and Cana FPJ last night, a touch of fruit vinegar.

The SaintsCrossing is finally starting to pick up some speed.

Already in need of another defoliation. I’m going to try to wait till the weekend as I only want to cut on them one more time. But if the SC gets too buried again I might hack at them earlier.

Still getting that weird variegation (for lack of a better word) on SSDD#2. SSDD#1,SC and VT have zero sign. (Added the FruitVinegar to buffer ph, perhaps this might help) not worried though))

Photo dump…

The EB GSDf6 has been dealt with…

I really can’t explain it and I’m tired of trying to figure it out…
The only thing I can think is that I put some bad vibes on the seed. Don’t want to get into it but I’m glad to be over it.
I’ll just release the bad juju and we will meet again GSDf6, yes we will.

Have a great week y’all!!

Everything else is looking great tho! Ssdd #1 is definitely variegated, hooked leaves… would still make me think TMV but she’s doing so good it’s likely just some root or nute thing. Maybe genetic too :man_shrugging:

Hopefully the saints crossing catches up quick!

Great thread! Thanks. Recently saw a dude say that FPJ should never be used without vinegar unless seeking Aphids. Thoughts? Can WCA be used as the vinegar input when applying FPJ? Thanks again for the information.

Hmmm, haven’t heard that. As long as the plant and soil are healthy you shouldn’t have much problem with pests. I would assume the thinking behind that is the sugar attracting them? But really there should be almost no sugar content left after diluting properly. And if the sugar is the issue for him, I’d think that would attract ants over aphids, and they would eat the aphids anyway

As far as the WCA being used as a vinegar source, I’ll have to research that. My thinking is that the alchemy of what’s going on might convert that to something less vinegary? I know that one way to check your WCA is when the vinegar taste is gone, it’s done.
You could use ACV too just fine.

Do you remember where you saw this @LivingBlackSoil ?, I’d like to look more into it.

There’s a certain type of ant, maybe more than one, that actually secretes something that attracts aphids, so…

Good to know! I know ants are good for aeration as well but I’m good without

ok, yeah, had a listen. Makes sense and as suspected he is correlating it to the sweetness. Specifically he is talking about the maintenance solution, which is the most used of all the inputs. This is what I will be doing my next run. Making all the different solutions provided by master Cho so ill be able to compare what im doing now vs.

I think a lot of folks don’t realize these are meant to be used in conjunction with each other. Myself included. I’ve just been using them as I had them made.
There are 7 core solutions in the system that Cho developed for different stages of growth.

Information is scattered on all this stuff so it is great to see this. I would say however, this is maybe more of a concern on large scale outdoor operations? In my 4x4 in my basement I hadnt thought twice about adding only an FPJ if I felt my plants needed/wanted. But thats just the way Ive been doing things as ive been making/accumulating my inputs and we need to be fluid with new information as it comes.

This could be why my rove beetle population is so out of control

Thanks again for sharing @LivingBlackSoil , all info is good!

Hell yeah, you see that all the time outdoors around here. The ants are actually “farming” the aphids so they secrete “honeydew” which the ants use for food.

I recently had an ant infestation, on the roots…
Happened right after using FPJ…
I’m just barely out of it…
