Berserk homegrow renovation & test grow!

Hey, everyone! It’s been a while since I made a post of my grow, and I wanted to share what I’ve been up to, recently! I renovated my grow room & went all out on creating a space to better reflect my passion for this plant! :green_heart:

Here’s my renovation from start to finish! :construction:

My old setup (after a few years of nonstop growing)

Gutted

Insulating, framing, and ran new electric

Closing up the walls & ceiling

FRP Panels

Electric devices & plumbing installed

Mini Split AC unit & Quest dehumidifier

Flooring & trim installed

CO2 tank system, fans, hoses, & controllers

Lights up!

Ready for plants!!

It took a couple weeks to get everything dialed in and work out the kinks, but overall things went pretty smoothly. :ok_hand:t3:

I had to raise up the lights & fans. 🫣

And this is where I’m at, with everything hanging. They’ve been up for about a week. Another week and I’ll start bucking, trimming, & bagging.

Everything done 100% solo. :muscle:t3:

Good call on that. I may be doing that myself.

Man that’s how I felt when I remodeled my garage. The work was more than worth it in the end.

Look forward to see what you do in there. already pretty epic.

Any plans to setup drip?

Yeah, that’s my next move. I was thinking about building some ~4x4 bases on wheels to fit large grow trays. Then I can shuffle things around to get to them. After that, I have a couple options for irrigation. I need something that can be versatile and easily adjusted. I’m planning to do some big hunts & breeding projects, next.

Well hell yeah! I guess you don’t need the tent anymore, huh

You know everyone around here loves watching those my friend!

My netafim 6in .5gph stakes have been excellent and 48in lines it makes for easy adjustments. I am running 3g pots but they do sell .3gph for smaller pots not sure what your running.

Some custom rolling benches would be pretty neat though. I bet it would make things a lot easier that moving plants around. I know that feeling all too well. lol

I just got done with my first large hunt of 50 plants and it was a daunting task but a lot of fun. I wish you good luck in your endeavors!

Dam bro what a nice job, how much did this cost to get it lookin this good?

Me either! Lol
That’s why I need versatility. I want the ability to run anything from solo cups to 15gal pots to rockwool cubes. That’s where I think the 4x4 trays will be best. I can do drip systems, flood & drain, or any number of available options. I’m not overwhelmed by hand water, yet. I gave myself multiple water sources for easy watering, and feeding with a measuring cup makes sure I know exactly how much each plant is getting.

A lot more than I planned for, and a full month of working long days, everyday. :money_mouth_face:🫠:skull:

Doing everything myself saved me a lot, but it turned into a lot more than I originally expected. This is definitely not something I’d recommend for the average person to try to tackle themselves. Before I switched to growing full time, I was an electrician for 15 years, and did all kinds of other building trades work throughout that time. That said, the cost to have this done or even do it yourself is dependent on your abilities, and your local trade labor & material pricing.
