Hope I’m not too late to add to this thread. You’ve clearly already been given some solid recommendations. That said, sativas were my first. They rocked my world and I still have the notes to show for it.
You’d mentioned wanting some 1:1’s, and in my experience your best bets would be either Sour Jack by Karma Genetics seed or Cinderella 99. A friendly heads up to say that neither of these are 1:1 but they’re usually within a 3:1 — 2:1 ( THC:CBD ) range which is pretty rad for a sativa or sativa-dominant hybrid.
Sour Jack is Sour Diesel x male Jack Herer genetics. This generally results in a clear head (shoutout to the noteworthy a-pinene levels in JH) coupled with the more alert high from the Diesel (known for it’s limonene and myrcene content), all underscored by JH’s CBD content.
Cinderella 99 also has the Jack Herer genetics however she’ll typically be crossed with some kind of skunk. You can expect to miss out on some of those citrus elements and instead wind up with something more on the earth/musk/men’s cologne side of the spectrum.
Moving to high THC, citrus-centric sativas or sativa-dominant hybrids would be options like Citrus Skunk (DNA genetics certified strain by Canuk Seeds), Hawaiian, Sunset sherbet, and Headbanger.

Headbanger is straight sour with a dash if diesel never had any citrus that I saw or any of the growlogs for it.
You’re right. It’s definitely super sour. I imagine what I’d tried was a crop that was probably expressing more sativa genetics and so came off more on the citrus/sour end of the spectrum

Man I think I’m gonna have to grab a pack…some of the best tasting herb I have had was cali o and your the only one I’ve heard talk about the s1 from Caleb…how does she grow? You got pics of her anywhere on here or ig?

Unfortunately I haven’t popped any yet. I’ve seen some awesome pics on IG. They have that signature double serrated fans.
I believe that’s a main feature of the Caleo is a double serrated blade. There’s been some wicked pictures I’ll make sure when I pop one send you a shot likewise if you do the same.
I definitely want to see it maybe I can book Market but I’ll throw 21 in on the next run and if it turns out good who knows maybe I can get a cut out to you.

The pineapple kush, and lemon kush had very citrus_y terpene profiles, very close in likeness,… These were recent grows. Another one was Bullrider… Those are some of the best buds I’ve tasted.

Everyone looking for orange/citrus needs to connect with @Viva_Mexico his Purple Crack x Point Break is the most citrus I’ve EVER come across (smell, flavor 100%) and I’m pretty sure he’s releasing these to the general public.

The two strains I’ve grown with big citrus terpines are mandarin cookies (ethos) and Afghani.
I read someone bash ethos earlier in this thread just thought I should weigh too as I’ve had great results with ethos. In my experience mandarin cookies is citrusy fire. IMO

Old post but I’d say try Bodhi’s Lavender Jack! I get a strong citrus smell and taste from mine and the thc is probably up there around 25%
