Black Magic Hydroponic Soil

Should i buy soil from home depot or eBay?
Ebay sells fox farm soil buy i don’t know what quantity i need but if i go to home depot it could be cheaper and less confusing.
What size pots do i need 3gal or 5gal?

1 cubic foot is 7.48 gallons. If its compressed it may be more.

BRO. do you even make soil bro?

Go to your local store and get canadian sphagnum peatmoss make sure its certified. then go get lava rock from probaly the same store. then go on craigslist or your local website or facebook or whatever and look for some good vermicompost/earthworm castings. made from manure or good thermal compost. lots of vermicompost is made with peatmoss, bio sludge, and other shitty things and is horrible ( the shit you find at your local box store) so do some research on some brands… buildasoil website is a good place to get stuff from if your having a hard time, anyways. mix these three together at a 1:1:1 ratio. and you got some sick soil… to make it even better amend the vermicompost with kelp, neem seed meal, crab meal, gypsum, malted barley, basalt rock dust, and biochar. (i think thats everything?) then for your pot. if you go wth my mix choose the biggest pot you can handle. i see guys running 100 gallons insideXD make sure its a smart pot though so your roots can breathe. i run 20 gallons because i dont wanna have to tear down a 100gal when i move out and i can drag them around kindaXD also. add some worms. then mulch that pot with like 3-5 inches of straw, cannabis leaf and stems, flowers, leafs, composted bark mulch, anything. and throw down a handful of clover seeds too while your at it.

if you need any help im here for ya;)

Not worth my time to mix soil.

yeah true. i guess this incredible medicine isnt worth itXD

It is a pity that it is not worth your time, but believe me it is worth it to mix it himself.

There is a lot of ways to grow a plant. Let’s not be so fast to figure someone else worth.

Fox farm is great soil, you can’t go wrong there. How big are you wanting your babies to get? That will determine pot size. If you’re wanting to grow decent sized plants, go 5 gallon at least.
More soil=more root space. Mixing you own soil can save you a lot of money. And can really produce great results if done right.

Exactly, This is my client’s warehouse grow, they picked Soil King its all premixed, tested, and proven. Emerald Cup Soil of the year 2105 Some of us aren’t growing in tent. Professional legal grows are picking a premix.

Its really nice soil, I have some. I’m supposed to send off to the lab for testing. Totally lacks the sticks and chips they try to pass off as humus.

Does Soil King have MDS on their mixes?

What is MDS?.???

When I buy bulk mixes it comes with a Material Data Sheet.

OH you mean a MSDS sure… let me look.

Hmm… I didn’t see one, but I assume that a compliant facility using OSHA regulations would need a MSDS for their workers. Contact Soil King for product data.

There should be one, Promix has a MSDS on their products, I assume that Soil King is no different.

They do list G.A. & NPK and they do list ingredients, if you are trying to reverse engineer Soil King formulation.

On a side note USDA does not have a regulation for organic cannabis, They have https://www.cleangreencert.org/ so it looks like they have some type of independent verification of the soil for organic cannabis production.

Just trying to see what they are using. It’s pricey so if its expensive I want some lol…

Not too expensive. 40 cu/ft tote for 207 USD, comes out to be 5.10 per CuFt. But thats bulk.

I’m supposed to send a sample to lab. I took from a sack from my clients grow. I’ll post it up so everybody can look at Macros/Micros. Ca… etc.

Just looking at it reminds me of SubCools supersoil. Its not the same, but it has overlapping amending ingredients like fishbone meal, Dolomite (Lime), oyster shell. I think these were added for calcium fortification, and for their various actions within the soil… Just guessing.

I just seen the info on the bottom of the Soil King Page. How do you feel about sea bird guano? I’ve been a bat man for every. Got a guy that wants me to try it. Only thing is I only use it outside in the summer so I’m in no hurry to switch. Unless you know something special about sea bird guano.

I dont know anything specific about sea bird guano, I would look at NPK of the guano if theres a G.A. on it. Or use chicken guano, its more balanced NPK, and is used in alot of cannabis formulas (Brand: Chicken Fuel) If I was to use a bird based guano.

My only concern is salts with guanos/manures. You can use bat guanos and I’ve used them before, I’m more of the opinion that PK binds up tightly with soil so I try to get PK to release with EWC, to minimize use of guanos. Again, mainly for sodic control in systems that recycle soil.

The only thing I hate about buying pro mix is all the pest that come with it.

Fuck ya. TOTAL headache. I opened a bale of promix, fucking fungus gnats started flying out the bag… I kinda had to use the bag, thats what the client wanted… I dont really care much for promix, I kinda wish I had got into his soil king supersacks. instead of that fucking promix!.

Fuck… sorry about the fucks…

Have you ever discovered a name brand bag that did not have pest in it?
