Black Magic Hydroponic Soil

I think its a cross contamination issue with soils in the isle and vent holes. One of my clients works at a local hydro store and they bug bomb the soil isle and storage area. However I seem to have less problems with black gold, its soil that I buy at a different store. I have no idea of the origin of the promix bale that I was using other than the fact I got it from the client. Could have been stored with a bunch of other buggy bales.

There are premixes that I avoid intentionally Roots, Fox Farm, Zen Blend. Iā€™ve had bad experiences with or I know that those soils could have been the source of infection.

If I was somewhere hot I would solarize the bags prior to introducing the soil to the grow. But what I should have done is pour hot water into the bale and let it cook before I used itā€¦ Brain fartā€¦ I knowā€¦

Lmfao the things in that soil mix!! dolomite lime hahahahahahahahXD they spelt Langbeinite wrongXD feather meal ouuuuā€¦ gross. Slaughter house floor scrapings yumm. Oyster shell? Why use that and dolomite lime when all you need is oyster shell. Or even better crab shell. Why add triple washed coir to it when you have sphagnum peat moss. Did he even use canadian sphagnum or just any old peat moss?? Ferrous sulphate?? Really? What about gypsum for sulfur instead of a drugXD clean sourced compost from where? Made of? What are the earthworm castings made of?

Why donā€™t you explain to us the action of each amendment, why you would use one over another.

I like Sunshine/LC1 mix.

What kind of feed program do use with Sunshine Mix?..

I can do that when i have time to write. personaly id just google it, itd be easierXD head over to grasscity and check out the notill threads also. Youll learn alot about the excess calmag in dolomite lime, the shitty quality of langbeinite, why you shouldnt use slaughterhouse scrapings (although that should be obvious) and many others like azomite, shitty ā€œEWCā€ and what not.

#1 does not drain as well as the #4. The top section of the pot would seem like it needed water, but the bottom was still feeding the plant. Then I watch to see the bottom branches lower a tad and then I would feed. My thoughts are the top of the roots would get plenty of air and the bottom roots would supply the plant nutes.

With chemicals I will try to go with a drain to waste ratio. Feeding is easy start low and increase strength as plant gets taller. I try not to white tip the leaf. PH at 25 % run off to figure where Iā€™m at on PH. I hit her with 1/4 spoon of Epsom per gallon when I feel like it and hit her with just PH adjusted water. I visit my Mojo Shelf to fix problems that arise.

For Bloom I prolly still feed lighter than most with chemicals and then 14 days from finish I bust her ass hard with Earth Juice Bloom.

Using EJ Grow and Bloom for Organics I tell the plant if you act up on me I will throw your ass in the trash can quick.

I watch the run off and if PH is low I reduce strength until it raises back up. I only see problems when Iā€™m feeding stronger ratio. I feel like Iā€™m doing better running 1 ml and a half lower and controlling PH at run off that way.

I feel like there is no sure way to know just how strong to mix nutes other than side by side and I donā€™t cuss much but fuck thatā€¦ I do know that half strength is good enough and will cause less problems across the board. If you add in stale air, high temps and burnt out ballast capacitors the plant canā€™t uptake that much nutes anyway.

Iā€™m not running pots now. I run a drain to waste aero that I designed. I call her The Dream and she is very camera shy lol.

First off thereā€™s no such thing as ā€œcalmagā€ . If you cant briefly explain why dolomite lime should not be used in the soil formula a simple I dont know will work.

I already see your are biased Build A Soil (CCMix) vs Soil King on ingredient quality, or any other soil other than BAS formulas. There is nothing proving that the quality or the materials selected for the formula are ā€œshittyā€. I have some clients that run BAS relabeled under a local name, and another local formulation and his is easily outperforming BAS in a side by side. I also had a client complain about early fade on BAS mix.

But for shits and giggles, Iā€™ll ask soil king about ingredient quality, and selection of certain products. How they compare their formula against BAS CC mix. I dont doubt soil king will give it spin saying they are the best bar none.

I prefer facts over bias.

My client using soil king,

lol i used calmag cuz i thought itd be easier for you to understandXD its 95% calcium-magnesium carbonate. buildasoil mixes are a fuckin joke lmfaoXD you can ask the guy that made the soilā€¦ or you can ask someone like clackamas coot that has been studying this shit for many years. probaly longer then those guys have been aliveXD lmfao!!shitty dolo mites the cheap chinese lang, and the ferrous sulphateā€¦you get that at your local drug store, lmfao wtf is that doing in a soil mixXD miracle grow works tooXD oh and again. fuck build a soil. they use coots name and all his ideas but coot hasnt allowed this nor gotten anything from them using his name to sell shit. i get my shit from jeremys suppliers instead of paying his markup.
Go read the notill thread forsure. Youll see what im saying. Theres proof mixed in there with a lot of great info and a bunch of jokesXD theres even a new notill thread going on for ya to ask questions if needed after reading:)

Ferrous sulfate is used for iron fortification, used to prevent iron chlorosis. Its a naturally occurring iron salt. Its sold as an iron supplement not a drug.

Dont add to the already huge pool of misinformation out there.

General hydroponics uses natural things in there ā€œorganicā€ bottles but i wouldnt use that on my soilXD sorry i consider pills made by drug companys drugsXD shilajit has lots of iron and is made under a mountain. merry christmas. XD

Dont add to the already huge pool of misinformation out there.

I recollect the days I thought I have arrived and knew it all.

Soil King Comments, I told you I would ask him questions. This is good info for everybody and it might help people understand how these ingredients work. I had to delete out my clients name and business, and my ownā€¦ its a privacy thing.

lmfaooooo!!! couldnt even read past the dolo mites partXD ask the owner of cokeacola if its good for ya and he will say ā€œyes it isā€

now ask someone that doesnt work for the company nor make money from their dolo mite, iron pill supplemented soilXD

you even said how i think bas cc mix is betterXD which i never said. i said its garbage and your buds soil is definatly better then bas shitty soilXD

turns out i had to read a bitXD he thinks azomite is just as good as basalt!!! LMFAOOO!!!
thats just sad. im done. he obv hasnt done much studying on soil.

Get back to me when you decide to ask someone other then the owner of mcdonalds if his burgers are healthyXD

This is your soil and your grow. It has problems. Even you said you had nutrient problems.

Iā€™ve had that before. The plants stalled out and looked like the picture. It was caused by me smashing the root ball. I was snatching them up by one hand and set them down to hard in grow bags. I fixed them with Thrive Alive.

LMFAOOOOO actually thanks for bringing this here for me as proof of my watering scheduleXD This grow was with horrible soil that went really bad but turned out amazing when i used the new notill watering scheduleā€¦ fail dude. Huge fail lmfao!!! You shoulda read the thread first hahahahahahahahahahahXD

Here the og thread of that goldenberry pheno from icmag from back before i did much studyingXD

I think grape ape did the right thing closing the thread, its gone way out of bounds from the original topic. Now I understand everybody has their own formula. Howeverā€¦ denying facts and and you spreading inaccurate information is a good time for a moderator to step in and lock it up.
