Blowgank420’s first grow

You have to wait until the plant establishes a good root system before moving it. You can go from a solo cup to final pot with no issues.

18oz solo cups? Should I shoot for clear so I can see inside? An are pin wholes big enough or should I go bigger? An should I use my fox farms ocean forest soil? Sorry for all the questions?

Definitely NOT clear make sure they are solid or use tape to cover them. You dont want the roots getting and light and 18oz cups will work great.

I use ocean forest and fix farm trio for nutes but there are plenty of option. I dont mind the question and happy to help

Are you asking if you should put ocean forest in the solo cups? Definitely not, that soil is too hot for young plants. Go with something that not so hot with ferts or nutes. Wait to use the ocean forest when you tranksplant into your final pots.

Yes I was asking that about the soil. So then I need to get something else ASAP what do you suggest fox farms frog

That would definitely be good but if you really just wanted something cheap…in a pinch on my current grow I just picked up a bag of miracle grow organic. Just dont get the time release crap.
Also make sure that you add more perlite to any soil for better air and drainage. You usually add about 20% perlite to my soil

Would you mind send a pic of the miracle grow bag an what brand perlite you use

I dont have the bag anymore…I dump my soil in a large tote to mix in the perlite. Dont feed them if using this as there are plenty on nutes for the short time they will be in there

@Blowgank420 here is something you can try to boost humidity with the seedlings. Take a 16 oz. clear bottled water bottle and cut the bottle in half. Take the bottom half and place it over the seedling, pushing it into the soil maybe 1/2”. Move your light over the top and within a couple of hours you will notice condensation building up. This helps the young plants while they are developing their root system.
I have used this method with my most recent seedling starts. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice I’m gonna give that a try if I drop again but as of recently I’ve been able to get it to roughly 60%… question so I like to use an air conditioner that’s in a window to keep the room an tent cool. But today it’s raining outside will that moisture from the air raise my humidity or lower it??? they are all growing so nice check them out. :kissing::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

What’s crazy is I noticed the 1 I started in the smaller red solo cup took almost 2 days to sprout but now it’s out growing the 2 I started inside burpees seedlings tray which both were larger plus I realized after a few days a piece of the seed shell was keeping it from opening its leaves all the way. Lol I think I messed up A little bit by leaving that stupid plastic lid on after they sprouted in tray an by not removing the seed casing quick enough. But it’s been a learning experience for sure. I don’t think I’ll be using that tray anymore prolly just start them right in the solo cup an move to 2 or 3 gallon pots not sure yet. Got some more research to do. I know these are B.O.G blue kush reg seeds. So really not sure if How many are gonna be female when does that start to show?

Do you produce autoflower seeds or just regular?

I’m running 2 lights 1 is an optic xl 100w led the other is an hlg 100w diy led. I did notice 2 days ago that I overwatered them a bit so I let the soil dry out for 2 days as well as poked a shit ton of pin holes in the sides of the solo cup to let it get more air flow. I also made the mistake of planting the 2 directly into fox farms ocean mix. So was wondering if anybody could tell me. Now that I have the light warrior as well as happy frog an ton of perlite is it to late to mix up a fresh batch of soil an transfer into either another solo cup or into a 2 gallon pot??? I’m still waiting on my 1 gallon smart pots to come.

I think you will do more harm trying to re pot them than just letting them stay in the foxfarms.

Once they get a bit more root development, you can move them into something bigger. They will be able to tolerate a hotter soil better as well. In a week.

They don’t look bad, litfa time, go smoke a joint

Ok so I’ve run into a little bit of a problem that I need to address before it causes issues for these seedlings. I was so eager to move 2 of the 3 into the larger cups as you can see with some added perilite into the ffof I’m still having drainage issues. As well as I can’t seem to get my humidity high enough in the tent. Any an all suggestions welcomed thanks.

If they are not draining well, dont give them so much water, they dont need much at that size. Mine would get a quarter of a cup of water at a time, which would last them 1-2 days depending on the temps. If you need to boost humidity you can put a humidity dome over them, or a clear plastic baggie and mist the inside of it with water.

What is your temps and humidity at the moment ?

I’ve been keeping my temp around 75-79 with humidity at around 46 47%

I also have my 4inch ac infinity blowing air into my tent. Should I reverse it an put it inside my tent with the 4inch vortex filter. I don’t care so much about the smell I smoke weed in my house anyways lol so wasn’t sure so I just kinda hooked it up an everything seemed good but the more I look into I notice everybody puts the intake fans inside. Do I need to get another 4 inch inline so I can put air in an pull air out??
