Blue star Blsu and Star dream

I had to google recharge, I’ve seen it mentioned numerous times but I didn’t know what it actually is, is just microbes or is a nutrient as well?

Speaking of microbes, tonight i put a drop of my run off under the microscope.

100% coco and mineral salts 2x a day, there’s lots of life you won’t see in the picture ideally I’d need to stain it, it’s difficult to see clear in clear in the pictures.

Yea its microbes, fungi, molasses & like 20% Kelp extract. I think the excess kelp might be the culprit, not sure though.

Wow man cool microscope. So much for people saying that say Salt nutes kill everything. Your microscope would say otherwise.

@Gonzo That’s certainly possible kelp can burn your plants.

Hey folks, I’ve given them a couple of days with the light raised and I can see a difference in them, #2 star dream is good to go now, #1 is better but there’s a couple of leafs look a bit of, on the great scale of things it’s irrelevant.

The blsu are cruising along with a vibrant look, #3 star dream it’s also cruising along with a nice vibrant look.

Some of you will have noticed i put plastic lids on my pots, they help with humidity and i get some bonus root growth.

I’m still feeding 2.0ec twice a day.

My temps aren’t great so I wired a cycle timer to my environment controller (Diy effort) now the dehumidifier heat and dry air isn’t getting pulled straight back out.

It’s still not ideal but it’s a improvement on what it was.

I’ve put off cleaning the lower growth because I need to clone each of them
I’ve been having a bad time with my back so I’m a bit behind with things.

That’s about it for now, take it easy!

We’re at that point in the grow where nothing much is happening except feeding twice daily to run off.

I’m going to change out the 250w and 300w lights for a 720w bar light, the small difference in wattage is worth it for the even lighting, as it is atm all of the canopy isn’t under the footprint.

That’s about it, take it easy!

Some capillary matt it handy if you’re needing run off draining?

It’ll empty a try without any priming like you would for siphoning.

With no hole drilled in the tray it can hold the entire reservoir so there’s no risk of flooding.

Eta… You can use it in various ways.

The coco sucks up what it needs and the capillary drains the excess into the saucer.

Good idea like it

This afternoon i put up a 720w bar light, i put up and had to take it down so many times my arms are bloody aching, at the end i couldn’t be arsed getting down again to unzip the tent for a picture.

Thank goodness for side doors.

A couple of days later.

I could get lost in there!

WOW,I love that idea, capillar action. But you do have Little runoff or could It handle about 1 liter of runoff? Can It work with more runoff? That looks awesome and I could make use of this concept for my next Coco run
What do you Say friend?

Yeah it works with any volume of run off, there’s times where it’s emptied 4-5 litres over the day it depends how many plants im growing.

It’s not the quickest method to empty run off but it’s reliable and easy to manage

Give it go a mate if it’s going to save you some work!

Your plants could not look Better, very well done.I Plan on going 1 liter on this next run but having more plants/variety,also smaller than 1 liter as I Ve had a champ on a solo Cup 300ml.Coco for the win Brother!
